Yeah, definitely. Nowadays, you can find the event of the attire on the back of the Elite packaging. Before Elite 25, I don't think the packaging told you when exactly the attire was worn.
I like to find them myself on the Network. I don't even think current basic packaging tells you which event the attire are from. Some attires are familiar and easily identifiable but sometimes I hit a brick wall and look on the Network.
It's like a library for attires.

I've only seen like 5 matches before 1997 but collecting Mattels made me go back and start watching 2002 again.

I remember collecting the LJN wrestlers back in the day, and then I'd be more interested in a character's matches on the old coliseum videos

I picked up the WM Brock flashback and I've slowly found myself watching his 2002-2003 run.
The less said about 2004, the better.

Works in reverse for me. I was a Golden Age guy, only collecting Legends and Flashbacks. But the figures are so good, now I watch and collect all of the eras. Same thing happened with DC Universe Classics and Masters of the Universe Classics. People give Mattel a hard time, but I'm very happy with their 6" lines.
