I have noticed a few people have converted their new basic Sheamus' and Balors to Elites just by switching a few parts. I have also seen the SS heritage Orton used in the same way.
What are your best basic to elite conversions by only switching parts? I am yet to do one but I have a few plans.

Arms, head, boots, and hands r easy to swap. Just put in hot water and pull. Gotta figure out knees to finish the elite Finn I am doing. Sheamus would be easy as he still wears the same attire so u can just swap the head from the new basic. Only other one I did is a fb Batista where I put a basic evolution head on the e6 body with the small knee pads from e30.

I've done that with the basic purple gloved undertaker and I'm going to do it with the "then now forever" taker also

Here is my most recent that didn't require any paint, just parts swaps. E14 Rock with WM32 BP Also converted SummerSlam Heritage Undertaker (purple gloves) into an elite using the WM31 Elite. I'll post pics later, can't seem to find them right now.

do all basic lower legs work with elites? (I know that articulation will be lost)

I've toyed with the idea of converting my Basic RR 91 Warrior to an Elite with a Bo Dallas. Only concern would be decals for his trunks, everything else is simple kitbashing.

do all basic lower legs work with elites? (I know that articulation will be lost) From the knees down, yes, and there's no articulation lost. The shin, or boots, whatever, are the same as elites. Heat them up real nice (I use blowdryer, be careful, if it's an insane dryer it can blister the factory clear sealant.) and pop them off and on. The difference in legs is crotch to boot/shoes/shins. The boots/shoes/shins/feet are the same.

Yes you can attach the lower leg of a basic to an elite, I did it for my 2001 big show. Just keep the elite thigh & knee joint in and attach the basic calf/foot with the peg. Bit fiddly but very possible.
Or do you mean something else?
