If he really is done, I hope it's just with WWE. If all the reports are true WWE has locked him into his contract. So no where else will get him.

Scenarios I would like to see play out
1) DB gives a fake retirement speech and knocks Vince McMahon out or 2) The entire roster comes out clapping, and KO viciously powerbombs him, setting up a retirement match at Mania or 3) He pipe bombs it and tells Vince to f*** off
What will happen
1) I am retiring, please cheer for Roman

The only doctors of his not to clear him were WWE's. That's fishy. He could've competed. Please let this be some type of angle.

I hope this is a major swerve and that he announces he'll be back in action soon.

Can we #TeamWork and #TeamShoot like it's 2010 again? Cobra still has one foot left too.

If this is the end of the road for Bryan in WWE, I gotta say he had a hell of a run. He's easily the best guy they had in the PG Era IMO. From the NXT Debut match against Jericho, his match with Ziggler at Bragging Rights 2010, the Heel turn, the birth of the Yes Movement, his classics with Punk, Team Hell No, his rise in 2013, and the crown jewel moment when he overcame the odds at WMXXX and won the big one with his biggest fan in the front row. All that plus his Indy work from before is one hell of a career if he never wrestles ever again. It's such a bad time to see him go with the product being so weak. Hard to believe like three years ago Punk and Bryan were tearing it down and now neither of them are going to be active in the WWE. I just realized something that really irks me.... Nakamura gets signed, and then like a month later Bryan has to retire....

I cannot believe that they are going through with this on the RTWM with all he injuries, superstar and fan morale at an all time low. Truly shocking stuff. It is hard for me to believe it, but I have come to learn in WWE that when I love something or someone in the company, they always find a way to yank it away from me.

as many others said, i echo the sentiment that if it is the end for db, then he's had one heck of a career and was very enjoyable to a lot of us on here and in the wrestling world. a positive force.

I don't know why anyone is talking about this like it's the end. Daniel Bryan has literally said he's been cleared by multiple outside doctors and he plans to wrestle again. So as soon as he's not under contract with WWE, we're going to see Daniel Bryan wrestle again. That being said, I hope this is a work leading to some kind of unsanctioned match. That would be a cool way to go about his return.

I say it's a work until I see otherwise. However, if everything we have been hearing is true then it is likely not.
I don't see how a company can freeze your contract and keep an independent contractor from working elsewhere indefinitely. Seems to me like you could go to court and get out of it. His contract has to expire at some point.
Either way, best of luck to him. One of the few guys I enjoyed watching since the early 2000s.
