Is a damn underrated time, miss the late 2013 period of two-three months where we constantly got great matches between the mix of Daniel Bryan, The Shield, Uso's, Wyatt Family, Real Americans, Punk, Goldust & Cody and Rey Mysterio.
When Mysterio returned>>> Bryan joining and then turning on the Wyatts >> Uso's vs Harper & Rowan>> Cesaro & Swagger getting over like crazy>> The Shield being the work horses of the WWE and putting on great matches two times a week>> Cody being the most over he has ever been >> Uso's having a air of freshness to them, unlike now >>
The tag division had some importance and the show was full of teams, even the short lived Punk and Bryan alliance was great.

Fall of 2013 was absolutely horrendous. Several bad Pay-Per-Views in a row, consistent attempts to quiet the swell surrounding Bryan (that includes that stupid Wyatt angle), a continuing total lack of direction for CM Punk that ultimately led to his exit, a miserable Big Show slow-burn turn that led to an awful Pay-Per-View main event, another Randy Orton/John Cena match that no one wanted to see. The only positive I could possibly pull out of that time period was the Cody/Goldust angle with The Shield, and that certainly isn't nearly enough to redeem an otherwise miserable product.
Survivor Series 2013 is up there as one of the worst Pay-Per-Views of all time for me.

^^^^ this is what I love about wrestling. the fact that two people can look at the same time period, same shows, same matches, and have complete opposite views on it. neither of which are wrong by the way. this in my opinion is one of the things that makes wrestling great

I went to HIAC that year. Had they just used HBK to protect Bryan in the Cell, and put and left the title on him, it would have been a much better scenario heading towards the end of the year. They didn't, and we got Randy Orton vs Big Show... and then more Randy Orton vs Cena. I guess it's hard to argue because WWE figured it all out by Mania 30, but when you have CM Punk feuding with Ryback and beating the Shield 3-on-1, something is wrong. I just think there were a ton of issues with the second half of 2013. Let us not forget that bullsh*t with Natalya and Khali haha.
The tag division was kind of wearing down by the end of the year too. They had exhausted the Rhodes Bros vs Usos vs Shield scenarios by the time the end of the year rolled around.
Bryan joining the Wyatts was idiotic. That being said, Bryan turning on Bray and him up on that cage was one of the coolest moments ever. Plus, Bray vs Wyatt is still Bray's best singles match by a mile imo. That was the start of 2014 though, not the end of 2013.
I don't think it's an under rated time at all, but to each their own.

The 2 bright spots of late '13 ,for me, was the pairing of Bryan and Punk....although not much really came of it. It was however cool to see them interact with each other while being on the same side. The other big moment i liked was referenced by DB on Monday. The crowd hijacking the title ceremony, but also that brilliantly booked brawl at the end. It was one of the top 10 Raw endings in my book. Loved it. Outside of those two things, i thought there wasn't a whole lot of direction at the time.

I couldn't put it any better. 2013 was highlighted by the terrible booking of both Punk and Bryan when I think back to that year.

There were some awesome matches in that time period. One of my favorites was the Rhodes Family vs. The Shield.
Storyline wise it sucked but in ring was awesome

I agree there was some damn good matches from around this time.
The Storylines were really cringe though.

I know that a lot of people crap on late 2013 and rightfully so at times. However, I have a soft spot for some of the things going on.
- Cody and Goldust were pretty much my favorite team in a LONG time and Cody was on Daniel Bryan in Team Hell No levels of good. - The Shield being amazing weekly. - The Wyatt Family still being legit. - I was enjoying AJ Lee as Divas Champion. - Daniel Bryan was insanely over. - Alberto Del Rio, despite having everything fun stripped from him, was having good matches with the World Title.

The fact that we never once got to see Punk/Bryan vs. The Rhodes during this period still confounds me to this day.

The Rhodes, The Shield, The Wyatts, Punk, Bryan. They made late 2013 awesome. Sure it had bad moments but they can be forgiven.

2013 reminds me a bit of '95: awful storylines but some belting matches. NXT on the other hand, great storylines AND matches. I wish some of those '13 NXT episodes were on WWE Network:(.

The fact that we never once got to see Punk/Bryan vs. The Rhodes during this period still confounds me to this day. The fact that Punk and Bryan weren't placed in a mega powers esque storyline is beyond me. Bryan wins the Rumble Punk wins the Chamber Punk vs. Bryan Iron Man match at mania. So simple.

Was awful. But it's a progressive thing. I think if I had to put WWE year in order, starting at around 2005, they just be chronological. It's actually impressive how far it's fallen.
