I picked up the new Wrestlemania Elite Undertaker figure today. I like the figure, the fabric coat is great and allows for better posing/playing compared to the molded plastic jackets. My only gripe with the figure is the hat, there were at least 6/7 Takers on the shelf, and on every single one the hat was bent out of shape. I picked the best one out of the bunch, is there any way to flatten the brim of the hat at all? The hat is just a small gripe on an otherwise great figure. The Wrestlemania elites cost more than the regular elites, and I dont remember the older Undertaker elites having the same issue regarding the hat. I dusted off (literally) my Elite 1 Undertaker and the hat was/is perfect. Is this a common thing with the hats now? My Undertaker from the BAF Corporate Kane set was the same too, maybe not quite as bad. I wonder if they have changed the quality of the plastic the hat is made from, as they have always used the same blister packaging, but the hat was bent while still in the box, not as a result of being removed from the packaging.

Almost wish I needed another Undertaker... Almost. He looks awesome though.

Hot water. Lay flat in freezer. Profit. I've had to do this to every taker hat. Works perfectly.

Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?

No offence but that is possibly the worst Taker figure Mattel have ever produced. The hat is massive and the coat reminds me of when I was 6 and put my dads suit on

Man, putting the pictures next to pictures of Elite 1 just emphasises how bad the hat and coat are on this new figure. It's depressing to see such a regression six years on.

That Elite 1 Taker is near perfect, a couple of minor tweaks and we should have a perfect figure, but how on earth did we end up with that abomination at the top Here was the inspirational reference pictures

Fixed the hat, thanks for the tips above. Hot water and freezer did the trick. Yeh it wasnt until I had the old E1 Undertaker out last night to compare that I realised just how good that old figure holds up still today...one that Mattel nailed pretty good first time

It's just those accessories that kill it.

I appreciate them at least trying to go the soft route. I like to pose some figures and those cocoons make it impossible.

Indeed they failed here, but learn from the mistake and try and improve the next time, no? The hat is...surprising. It regressed significantly.

Can someone explain to me the hot water freezer method? Just put in hot water for a minute or two, then put it in the freezer?
Thanks in advance

The hat from mine is in the freezer right now.
I left it in boiling water for about 2-3mins.

I think it's a great figure. Surprised they went the cloth route on such a large volume figure.
