Well. As of saturday, i know that us in ontario need to dial the area code that we want to call to. So. for us in london, we'd need to dial 519-***-****. I think it intellectually- disabled. They say we need to do this because they are running out of numbers for people.
How dumb.

I agree, if they're running out of numbers, make 555 a legal number

How exactly is it dumb? It's not like they can just pull more numbers out of their ass.

no. tell me. how is just adding an area code to the beginning of a number, going to have more numbers available? Simple. If you live in Southern Ontario, these are usually the area codes found: 416 905 519 Now, my store # is 575-5989 That means only I can have that number here in Hamilton. BUT.... if you put a 416-575-5989 in front of it - we now have an extra number to use. Put 519-575-5989 and you have another one. Use that number in every area code 205-575-5989, 619-575-5989, 960-575-5989 You get ALOT more numbers available. It makes perfect sence. If a city has 500,000 people in it, then you allow another city that has 500,000 people in it to use the area code when dialing, you get ALL those numbers to use twice. What's teh big deal anyway? It's only 3 more buttons..... just think if you called overseas it would be about 7 more numbers. Mike

Wow, it's funny how many people lack common sense. BHT already explained it so I'm not going to waste my time.

The only thing that sucks, is at work, they haven't enabled the 10 digit dialing, and we can't call long distance - well.. I can, but normal people can't.

I haven't even had to do it yet. A message is supposed to come on if we do it wrong, and it will stay that way for like a year. But I still haven't dialed a single 10-digit number.

Really? You guys are just starting the 10 digit thing now in London? Wow.
It's been like this in southern ontario for a while now. It's not that difficult to comprehend, people.
