For those who display their collection, how do you group them? I'm a loose display collector and I've gotten to the point where I want to change my groupings up, but I'm looking for some suggestions as to how to do it.
Do you group your figures by era of wrestling (Rock n Wrestling, NewGen, Attitude, Ruthless Aggression, PG, Reality Era)? Do you group them by championships (All IC champs together, all heavyweight champs together, etc . . .)? Do you keep wrestlers whose careers have spanned over different eras together or break them up in your display into the eras they wore that attire in? (New Gen HBK - Dx HBK- Return HBK, Undertaker, Masked Kane-unmasked Kane-team Hell No Kane, Savage, HHH, The Road Warriors-LOD-Blue WCW, etc . . .)
Currently I seem to do a mix of all of these. I have all of my Kane's, Taker's, Savage's, all together but I also try to group by era. Except tag teams, which I like to put all together no matter when they wrestled.
Interested in hearing your thoughts.

However they fit. I try to keep same characters or themes together but in the end it's however they look best on the small space I give them

My entire collection is MOC, so I display them by Elite # and Release Date (If it is a RSC Exclusive or Target HOF).

I have my top three favorite characters basically all grouped together.
Then I have a decent sized MOC collection that I keep 7-9 loose figures displayed that I will occasionally rotate around.
Then I have a small row of late 80's-early 90's WWF guys

I have them all on one shelf with 4 tiers that I created with old wrestling VHS tapes. I have Rock & Wrestling on left working my way to New Generation/WCW on right.

And I love how you broke it out by main event, mid-card, and tag. Do you have any pics that I could use as an era reference?

I got a shelf on my wall that has people that are "Complete Legends/Hall of Famers". This means usually has full entrance or ring gear like DM Macho Man, DM Warrior (Wrestlemania 7) and legendary groups and factions like LOD and Demolition.
On my desk, it's a bit more randomized but tag teams are closer to each other.

My shelf ends with CM Punk, Elite Balor current sting.
