This is one of my favorites , I have the complete Tna toybiz line , these were def ahead of their time and inspired the Mattel figures but Mattel didn't deliver on detail and articulation .

Toybiz TNA starting with Series 5 are still the most detailed and articulated wrestling figures out there. I havent bought a Mattel Sting yet because the TNA 5/7 Sting looks better than all the Mattel ones. I am still looking for a TNA 7 Scott Steiner

Have the prototypes of the unreleased figures ever been for sale?

And yeah, I love these figures. WCW and TNA ToyBiz figures where way ahead of their time.

I'm pretty sure I have the NWA Title that came with Jarrett still. Somewhere. I know I have Jarrett. These things look kinda cool looking back on it but the finger articulation is ridiculous. And Angle looks ridiculously jacked.

That X Pac (or what ever his name was in TNA) looks absolutely amazing
The Angle is badass too
Wish they would have been released

Toybiz Sting does NOT look better than Mattel Sting. Lmfao. Agree to disagree. I've got dm and the elite sting and all the tna toybiz stings (both mask sets, 2-pack with Jarrett and series 5) I'll take the toybiz ones over Mattel based on likeness.

Toybiz were good for their time, but I would never say ahead.

Toybiz were good for their time, but I would never say ahead. I haven't. It looks exquisite though. You have to compare toybiz to what the other companies were doing at the time i.e. Jakks. They had more poa, better scale, paint detail, and sculpts. They stand up against the figs coming out today 10 years later.

Toybiz TNA head sculpts were amazing. I agree with micco that all of their Sting sculpts (other than the first reused WCW sculpt) are way better than Mattel's. And Sting is my favorite wrestler.

Well Sting is my favorite too, and Mattel stands tall. Again, fine in their time, but definitely not comparable

I weep every day for the world is a darker place since they didn't release that Kurt Angle.

Im sure its to show the profile of the face.... Weve been over this. Mattel has some amazing sculpts that are painted sloppy. All those ball articulation points on Toybiz look messy too

Weve been over this. Mattel has some amazing sculpts that are painted sloppy. All those ball articulation points on Toybiz look messy too I agree on all counts. Toybiz Marvel Legends can sometimes be overhyped. I appreciate the sculpting, but tooling was a weak spot on Toybiz figures. Many a great figure was diminished by the big ugly spherical hips and shoulders and obvious cuts. Also, who in the hell thought articulated fingers were a smarter idea than swapable hands? Toybiz did have some nice paint apps and scans though. And they were an improving game. If they were still around now, I would have no doubt they would be producing killer work.
