WINNIPEG (CP) - A man who fell five metres from the stands during a CFL game between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday night died in hospital Saturday.
Blue Bombers president Lyle Bauer extended his sympathy to the family. The man was not identified.
"The important thing right now is the individual's family as they deal with their loss," said Bauer. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very difficult time."
The man fell over a guard rail from his seat in the north endzone at CanadInns Stadium an hour into the game. Onlookers said the back of his head struck the asphalt below. He didn't move after the fall but appeared to be conscious as he was taken by stretcher to an ambulance.
CFL commissioner Tom Wright also issued a statement: "This is a difficult and tragic day for all of us across the CFL. We all understand the importance and significance of the fans, who are our greatest supporters."
Sad? yes, but, think of it this way, the CFL could be like the new extreme sport,
"at every CFL game, you could die, so, come cheer on your team and try to survive!"
CFL should hire me for marketing IYAM

Wow, I was almost going to go to that game. He probably jumped cause the Bombers were losing to the Ti-Cats.

Funnt how I never saw this on SportsCenter Thats one thing I've always found funny about TSN. They have no problems showing someones leg bending the other way 1,000 times, but, in a worked sport, a guy hitting a woman gets censored
