Those wouldn't sell. Horsemen won't sell at $25 right now.
I really really just want a Heenan set.

I was thinking Hayes, Roberts, Gordy, & David. . . but that would clog the shelves for a long time.

The nWo is the only thing that can save the line.
Hollywood Hogan Scott Hall Kevin Nash Either induct Bischoff or Syxx
I can't think of anything else that'd sell better. Evolution or DX, maybe.

Personally I won't buy the freebirds. I can't see many people buying them at retail.

Things I would ing love: Free birds Von Erich's Demolition and Fuji Dangerous alliance Any major 88 - 91 survivor series team Things that will realistically sell: nWo DX Evolution That's it

Would I buy them? yes. But I do think the 4-Packs are done after the Heenan set. I doubt Target will order anymore going forward with the amount of Horsemen sets still on the pegs and the Heenan Family still sitting in their distribution centers waiting for the Horsemen to move.

Would love a Freebirds set but I don't think we're going to get it, and I totally understand why not. I would buy a DVE figure but I don't really foresee us ever getting that either. I still want KVE in his NWA Title win attire with Memory of David robe.
I'll be interested to see where Mattel takes the line as we continue to check names off the list. I don't think getting the Freebirds individually, spread out over time, is that unrealistic, especially if the HOF line continues to have longevity.

Those two sets listed are pipe dreams at best. Outside of WWE's recent Hall of Fame Twitter post that fueled this thread, I wouldn't expect many people to care about the Freebirds. Especially enough to care about a major retailer carrying their exclusive toys.

The nWo is the only thing can save the line. Hollywood Hogan Scott Hall Kevin Nash Either induct Bischoff or Syxx I can't think of anything else that'd sell better. Evolution or DX, maybe. I agree with the nWo. That would be a brilliant set. Keeping the "Hall of Fame" requirement in tact, they could feasibly do Hogan, Hall, Nash and Dibiase. While it wasnt his most prolific role, Dibiase played a sizable part in the early nWo, is a HoFer, and kind of goes along with Mattel's tendency to do suited guys and/or managers, while saving some budget by reusing parts. The new laughing Dibiase head would be a good fit for the set and allow Mattel to use more budget on the other pieces. Unfortunately after the performance of Horsemen and probably the Heenan family, eventually, Im not sure we'll get another 4 pack. Those two sets listed are pipe dreams at best. Outside of WWE's recent Hall of Fame Twitter post that fueled this thread, I wouldn't expect many people to care about the Freebirds. Especially enough to care about a major retailer carrying their exclusive toys. I agree with this also... I think its common knowledge that the Mattel team kept from of the Jakks CS line, and one of the bigger failures of the CS line was that Freebirds three pack, that was clearanced EVERYWHERE. I'd think Mattel wouldnt make that same mistake knowing how poorly the Jakks set performed in it's day.

Using the HOF theme, I can't think of any HOF boxsets that would be hot sellers besides an attitude era boxset (SCSA/HBK/Foley/Trish or Lita) and an evolution of Sting boxset.

I would like a Mattel versions of a few Jakks box sets. The very first one, TRU exclusive; Bret Hart, HBK, Ultimate Warrior, and Goldust. Same attires too!

I'm very curious if the Horsemen set would have sold differently had Barry Windham looked more like he did during that specific era of the Four Horsemen (since that was how he looked for most of his earlier career anyway) than the very specific 1990 timeline look.I did my part in buying the set at full price and the Heenan Family already.
Much as I'd love Jimmy Garvin, I'd happily hold off on him to get Hayes, Gordy and Roberts along with David Von Erich. Just finished watching old WCCW with the announcement of his death so I'm on a major DVE nostalgia kick.

A more realistic box set would be Hogan/Savage vs M$M/Andre from the first SS

I think we will eventually see the Freebirds in some form at some point. However, i don't forsee them being any kind of gift set. They may hit the HoF series someday or even as FBs at some juncture. I'm just curious who we'll see if it does comes to pass. I'm sure we'll get Hayes and probably Gordy. But i wonder if Garvin or Roberts would get the nod from Mattel. If anything ever does come of those supppsed Mattycollector plans they spoke of back at SDCC ,or whatever it was, then i could see them taking a gamble on guys that won't move at retail. Perhaps even David Von Erich. But otherwise, i don't see him getting a figure. For the record, I'd buy all the above if they ever were produced.
