Looks like this would be the Network Special for 3Q 2016. Find it odd this special is on a Wednesday. Would be nice if they called it Rebellion or Insurrextion.

Very odd that it's on a Wednesday, but I suppose they're gonna go for the "watch it at work" thing they did with NXT back in December. This is, to me, about the extent of what UK fans can expect in terms of televised special events going forward.

I might be overthinking things but this could open the floodgates to WrestleMania taking place in England someday. In the past, the WWE touted logistical reasons for WrestleMania in England. With the advent of the network, those logistical issues are thrown out the window. I am sure people wouldn't mind watching WrestleMania in the morning/afternoon. If the NFL can broadcast a game at 9:30 AM Eastern, the WWE could do the same for having WrestleMania start at 2 PM Eastern.
I am sure the WWE would have no issues selling out Wembley Stadium for WrestleMania.

Hopefully this is a test for an actual PPV.

It's on a Wednesday afternoon, for crying out loud. Haha Japan had a Network special on July 4th. You really think Japan will be hosting a WrestleMania in the future?

I am sure the WWE would have no issues selling out Wembley Stadium for WrestleMania. I honestly don't think it makes it any more or less likely. I still put the chances at relatively slim. WWE has turned Wrestlemania into a destination event that sees people travel from all over the world to attend, but the fact remains, WWE is an America-based company catering first to an American audience. They take a lot of pride in being able to host an event that cities compete for. As it stands, they're seen second only to the Super Bowl in terms of revenue generation for the host city. That's a really big deal. I really don't think they're willing to "share the wealth" and take their business outside of America, especially with that being such a hot button issue in the press (keeping American money in America.) In comparative terms to the NFL, while the league has no problems bringing a few games a year overseas, it's extremely unlikely that they would consider hosting a Super Bowl there. WWE is thinking identically - an increasing number of important events, short of the big money-maker. To take Wrestlemania international would be to, simply put, take money out of the pockets of an American city. I think it's the same reason we haven't seen a Wrestlemania return to Canada since '02, before the spectacle aspect really ever came into play. The time difference is a factor too, but to me, it's secondary to the issue outlined above.

I didn't want to mass quote people. That is why I mentioned about overthinking things.
