Just got my Nasty Boys delivered today and I was happy to see that their plastic coats are made with a much softer material than used on other plastic trench coats we've gotten.
For those that don't have the Nasty Boys, their coats are much more flexible making them very easy to remove and put back on. It's the same material used on the E36 Dean Ambrose vest.
I know some folks prefer real cloth to be used, but if Mattel can't always give us that, this is a very good option. If the new DM Sting using this same plastic, it'll be a breeze to remove the coat when you want.
Kudos to Mattel for this change.

If a burglar busts into my room, plastic coats will be easier and more effective to throw at him as a form of self defense.

It isn't so much the removal of the coats but the inability to pose the figure in any other way that sucks about them. Like even something as simple as holding a belt on their shoulder isn't happening.

At least they don't mold the arms like Jakks.
Good lord how I hated that.

Are the jackets still missing details on the front?

It's easy to clean dust of rubber coats.

While I like the fact they're easier to take off, the lack of posing kills them for me. That said, they look great on the Nastyz.

I prefer the plastic for costs and jackets honestly.

I like the plastic jackets too. The cloth always just looks weird and bulky, fabric does not generally fold well on small scales like this. Plus, for Undertaker, the cloth is always leather and the dude didn't wear leather until post American BA and it irks me hard to see vintage Taker with leather.
ALSO, they're more "action figure"-ish w/plastic vs. "dollish" with cloth. All that crap aside, I see how those who'd want to pose in many different positions would be upset. I don't really do all that, just open em up and pop em' on the shelf so it works for me.

Fabric at the scale doesn't always look good. John Cena's t-shirts are about the only ones that work because they are form-fitting. That said, DM Sting has an amazing coat.

The only coat I was ever disappointed in my collection was the rsc edge because of lack of details. I prefer cloth but sometimes plastic works better

I think I prefer plastic/rubber coats or jackets but If its a shirt I'd rather it be cloth because it doesn't need as much detail. A cloth jacket or robe can look amazing if made right though. See DM flairs Robe.

As much as I appreciate the detail put into the Nasty Boys' coats, mine are currently residing in my unused accessories box. All the detail is on the back so I chose to display the Nasty Boys without them so you can see all the detail on their shirts.

I don't mind the plastic as much now that it's the softer material they're using. I still prefer cloth as much as possible. The main thing about these plastic ones is not being able to use the figures arms really.
