Does anyone else love the sweet plastic smell when you open a new figure? I just caught myself sniffing a figure like a total dork. I hope that the smell isn't toxic chemicals

It's beautiful. New Jakks figures always smelled amazing to me growing up as a kid.

I love it as well. I actually have a bad habit of sniffing my figures whenever I pick one up. Believe it or not.

When I get a whiff of that, I know I've done something right.

The only figures I remember having a distinct smell when freshly opened are Jakks wwe figures. I LOVED sniffing them.

A lot of NECA figures that have really complicated paint apps have an extreme chemical smell.
Mattel's smell very sweet by comparison. A box of Mattel's generates quite a pleasant smell.
The last few years of DC Direct/Collectibles smell like skunk. And it never dissipates.

I never thought I'd be in a thread where I'm the weird one for NOT sniffing plastic.

I liked it when I collected. It was gratifying that something new was in my collection.

I love the smell of a new Hot Wheels or Matchbox car. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

Jakks used to have a great smell. Someone should capture that in a car freshener or something for men.
