He is more suited in an NXT ring than a WWE ring. He would just get lost in the shuffle among the WWE.
Look at a Tyler Breeze for example. In NXT you could almost smell an NXT Title reign coming his way. Now that he is in the WWE, you can catch him on Superstars or Main Event. Probably losing to R-Truth.
So I rather see Austin Aries stay in NXT for his WWE run. If he appears in a WWE ring, have it be at the Royal Rumble then.

He is the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived, he is going to kill it regardless of where he is. I think he'd do great on the main roster mid card.

As a fan, I think I'd be content if he just stayed in NXT. I think he'd do fine on the main roster. But they're awfully crowded at the moment. Plus in NXT he can have faster paced & longer matches. Two things best suited for A Double IMO.

What sucks is he was pretty clearly overshadowed by Shinsuke at Dallas. He got a win, but out of nowhere with very little offense. In a match with Borin Corbin. Then Shinsuke and Zayn tore it down. I know it was their Mania, but maybe limit the debuts to one

I could see him coming up to the main roster in the future. He'd make a fine United States or Intercontinental champ.

if the wwe continues to shift towards the 'new generation', then yes, austin could fit. but i'd like to see him up there after it's been firmly established. miz being ic champion kind of dissuades that belief though.

He'll win the NXT title and then impress WWE and the fans all around the world on how great he is. He'll do great in the main roster, WWE just has to give him a chance and not give up so easily like their past NXT stars.

He is one of the best mic workers WWE has right now, So i fully expect him to become a CM Punk like figure on the main roster.

I know it was their Mania, but maybe limit the debuts to one I agree with this. I think it was a bit of a timing issue here. Get Aries on the card at a big show, but get Shinsuke in the ring asap. That said, when the worst match of the night is an above average showing from Aries and Corbin, you know you're doing something right.

I said it a lot at the time, but CM Punk was just a poor man's Austin Aries. If Punk could pierce the bubble and shove himself into the limelight, Aries can do it better.

5 years ago, Austin Aries was quitting wrestling to go to vegan culinary school because WWE told him he was too old and too short. Now, he's one of the biggest signings in NXT to-date. A Double carved his way to the top in both ROH and TNA. Main roster or not, I expect him to do the same in NXT.

I've never liked the guy tbh but I wish him well. He is a better fit in NXT.

He'll crack the main roster one day. Where he'll fall when he's there, well that is pretty much an entirely different story.

A Double is the man. Fantastic in ring and on the mic. He's capable of alot, even with his age working against him. I don't know how far he'll go, but nXt and IC titles are not out of his reach. I just hope to see a Mattel elite of him before he's done.

He'll be WWE Champion one day. After all, Roman Reigns is a three time champ.

I think he was quite underwhelming at takeover, although it might be because shinsuke was so good

He will do great in NXT, no doubt. I think he'll do fine on the main roster, I hope.

As long as he doesn't get stuck with Baron Corbin again he'll be fine.

Of course his match at Takeover was underwhelming... look who he was in there with. I said it a lot at the time, but CM Punk was just a poor man's Austin Aries. If Punk could pierce the bubble and shove himself into the limelight, Aries can do it better. A silly thing to say, IYAM. Punk wasn't a poor man's anybody.
