Worse then buying something you have already, is selling something because you are sure you have another one..... I now have no yellow Sin Cara....ffs

When you are in your 30's,, and are well into thousands of figs, tell me then you don't need to write everything down..... I'm in my 30's and have well over a thousand figures when you factor in my entire collection of action figures and vinyl stuff and I don't have anything written down. I do have a few things written down as notes for stuff that's coming out that I WANT to buy though.

Ok, I thought I would see much different responses. Until recently, I had only collected Elite figs that I keep MOC to get signed someday, and most of them are now signed. I only have about 50 or so Elite figs, so it's easy to remember those because the ones I have are all unique. But now, I've started to buy lots of basic figs to open and display. And because my local stores are so far behind, I am always seeing the same figures everywhere I go, and I randomly decide when I want to pick up another figure. So until I've gone back through every series and purchased all the figs I want, then maybe I'll stop keeping track.

I just use a basic spreadsheet program like Excel. Not because I'm ever in danger of buying a duplicate, but because I open all my stuff and sometimes I want to know what series a particular figure is from or what accessories it came with, so I keep track. It's not easy to just remember when you have have a big collection and a lot of it is boxed up!

dont use a spreadsheet as i am usually good at remembering which wwe figures i have already bought, except early wave divas but i think that has to do with the fact that i didnt know anything about them when i bought them. once i bought them tho, can usually never remember what wave they were in or some of their names but know i own them.

My brain. Even when I was over 500 figures at one point. I even could remember every store I bought them at. My memory does crazy scary crap like that.

I have an excell spreadsheet for keeping a track of how many figures I have (around 220 as of today) so that way I know how many of each one I have.

I do this with my movie collection because it's in the thousands and I still buy doubles sometimes. I just trade doubles in at a flea market for more DVDs lol... But not with figures. I can remember them all so far. Not nearly as big of a collection.

I've double and triple bought books because I'm well past the point of conceivably keeping track of them all.

My brain BUT I do have a list to keep track of what I WANT. Never been the type to buy a whole wave. I cherry pick the people I like. Since we have Elite series, HOF series, DM series, RSC series, Basic series, BP series and the occasionally Elite 2 packs it is hard to keep track of who is in the waves and who I want out of them honestly.

I have doubles and triples of my batman collection. Way too many to remember.

When you are in your 30's,, and are well into thousands of figs, tell me then you don't need to write everything down..... I'm 39, and crossed the thousands mark quite a number of years ago...and can still tell you from memory what figure is on every shelf in every room of my house. Not trying to be a smartass or a jerk. I admit that I have a serious figure addiction. But for some reason, I can always remember them all. Nice, for me it's hard to keep up. Mainly because I dont watch wrestling these days so I dont know who the guys are. I'll buy figures and I'll completely forget what their name is. Like those Matador guys, or Rikishi's Kids, or just about 70% of the current roster I forget what their name is. I'll see it in store, and if I like it I buy it but I dont keep track of their names.

Very late 40's (49) been collecting since I was a kid in the 70's (Still have many of my favorite childhood toys) and I can tell you if I have a figure of not. I might not know where it is if I removed it from a shelf, but I know I have it still packed away in a bin somewhere in the house.

I know every FIGYA I've had or didn't have since I was collecting Hasbros. If some one went into my FIGYA room and moved something, I would know for sure
