I want Zack to dress in my place coach...... You are hands down one of my favorite people on this site. Hahaha! I appreciate it. I try to find the fun in things here.

Very cool of them! Especially when it the business is a very selfish one. Very awesome.

If true that's pretty cool.

Does this even sound believable?
That story sounds like pure fantasy

Zack Ryder's brother is pretty loud and obnoxious so this wouldn't surprise me if it were true.

I like that Zack won and I'm going to choose to believe that this story is true. I think Zack should still be in the mix for the IC title.
BUT...I'm also happy that the Miz is now the champ because he is the best heel in the biz. He always gets huge heat and his opponents always get over.

I didn't know Zack had a brother.

Given that Miz, Ryder and Ziggler are all great friends and veterans, I don't think it would be overly ridiculous to imagine this scenario being the case. If Miz was winning, it only takes him having the idea to push it to booking. Like hey, let him win, and then we'll fix it the week after.
However the situation came about, I enjoyed the hell out of it. The match was great. Ryder deserved the moment imo, and he'll always have that memory. His promo didn't seem like a work. "I got this moment, and it's all I'll ever need."
I 100% don't think Neville was winning the IC Title. I get that he was going to be in that match but Neville has no character and was doing nothing at a time when any of Ziggler, Miz, Sami and Owens would have all been substantially better options for the title post Mania. Seems like the plan was just to let Miz win the ladder match and then bring Maryse back. Totally doesn't matter because what we got was great. I wish Ryder would have gotten more out of it longterm but beggars can't be choosers.

Curt Hawkins must've been telling them the truth, I doubt Ryder's brother would lie.

Yea, well I talked to Zacks son.
And all he did was scream about "hype."

I think winning the IC Title for 24 hours is still better than not winning it at all.
And look at Ryder's past history. WWE Tag Champion, US Champion, IC Champion. It doesn't matter how long he held any of them for, its just the fact that he got to hold them!
Its too bad though that they took Ryder out of the IC Title picture. A Miz/Maryse vs. Ryder/Emma feud could have been entertaining for a while.

Eh. It's been more or less confirmed that that was Neville's spot, and general consensus was that they just didn't change the plan when he got substituted. The rest of the show was a massive downer, so they wanted the feel good moment to open the show, knowing that it was just going to Miz the following night. Not to mention, the guys in that match don't strike me as having major clout with management to sway the booking of a match one way or another. If it wasn't already in the cards, I sincerely doubt any of those guys saying "we want Ryder to win" would've made Vince go, "you know what, you're right!" It wouldn't surprise me if the reason behind it was so that it could look like there plan all along was to have Ryder win the Title and not look stupid for just sticking him in there as Neville got injured.

I was so happy for Ryder. A legit fan who finally had a great WM moment. It felt like watching one of my friends winning it. That being said, I still kinda wish the Owens/Zayn feud still had the IC title involved. To be honest, I would think the IC title would actually ruin the Zayn/Owens fued. They need to trade wins a couple times, and I don't think the title should flip-flop between two guys so much in such a short period of time. I'm personally hoping a face will get huge momentum and fan support by beating Miz for the IC title *cough* Sandow *cough*

But I would be okay with it for Zayn/Owens because I feel the IC title needs a great feud. And IMO the Zayn/Owens feud is the best in a long time.

Really cool story. Hope it's true. But I think them making a "feel good moment" for the show is probably the real story. My roommate is not a fan of Ryder at all, and only watches WWE when I watch it, and is home, called him winning it for that very reason. I didn't think they would do it because it was him, and I should of known better lol
