Since everyone's talking about crazy distribution, let me throw my query hat in.
My Wal-Mart has been carrying only about 21 Elite 39 Sycho Sids and 3 Mizdows, left over from their Christmas restock. Since early December, the only restocking was one case of B58, one of B59, and about seemingly 6 cases of TNF basics (currently only having many unsold Undertakers). My other Wal-Mart has the same figures, just less numbers plus maybe around 10 E38 Daniel Bryans. The rest of my Wal-Marts' toy sections are regularly stocked. They just recently moved all the unsold Sids and co to the very end of the aisle, took down the WWE signage that jutted out of the top of the section, and only have retail shelf wall space equaled to about one row of each the unsold E39s and TNF Undertakers.
My question is this, do you think this is because: A. I live in Canada B. Mattel distribution right now as a whole C. Wal-Mart policy related to having to move the unsold items first, or worst case scenario... D. My Wal-Mart decided to no longer carry WWE?
D seems like it isn't possible, but the moving of the section and severely downsizing it, coupled with no new stock in sight worries me. What do you guys think? Prior to this they had successfully stocked E32-38 like clockwork.

I live in Canada as well and its the same deal for my local Walmart. Only Elite 38 and 39 sit on the shelves and have been doing so since December of last year. The only basics are old stock and the only Battle Packs are two AJ Lee/Big E sets, and one Uso set.
I am not sure if its the distribution factor, or they over stocked on Elite 39, or just that our Elite figures are close to $30 when buying them, and parents can't afford that for their kids when times are some what tough.

Mine are the same, stock wise. For me there are a ton of leftovers from Elite 34/35/38. Plus about 10 Sycho Sids. There are also a few of both Elite 30/33 Batista still. I'm hoping that they don't skip Elite 41 like they did 37. Might have to end up ordering Finn Balor online after all.

My Walmart has a ton of mixed basics with the old card, many Then, Now, Forever figures, and only a few Elites, mostly Daniel Bryan and Adam Rose. We were pummeled with so many basics before Christmas that we never even saw Sid and company.

Don't feel bad. My walmart is the same. About 6 sids,3 Daniels,1adam rose,2 mizdow and 1 elite Batista and it's been like that since December and the only new thing they got was the dm Austin and they had 8 of them and 4 are still there.

walmart as well as many other stores work off a CGO system ( Computer Generated Order). When shelves are set they program in a shelf capacity and a replenishment rate. Once the items sell down to a certain point a new case is ordered. Your walmart doesnt know what they have for wrestling figures by character, only by the # in the system. That # should be checked occasionally by cycle counts and store inventory. The only other way your store will get more figures when the shelf is already full is a forced distribution, usually to build a display or because the warehouse needs to make room for new product.
Stores also dont know what series they will get in. All they have is an order # for each line.

I live in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and same deal
Both walmarts are still stuck on elite 39. I seen so many sids at Christmas time that I honestly feel like I will never see a new elite ever because of how many e39 went out. Toys r us is pretty much the same. We've had network spotlights and h.o.f figures but elite 39 was the last elite series to be ordered. Although I think they didn't order as much as we only have one or two sids left.
But by god walmarts have enough sids for everyone in this city to have one or two, wth were they thinking

I'm not finding much new stuff anywhere and I'm in the US. It isn't anomalous to Canada. The new stuff that does get put out gets hungrily snapped up the day of restock so people waiting to go to Toysrus, for instance,on the weekend are left to believe a restock never happened at all.

I also live in Canada, my Walmart has about 10 sids, a bunch of elite 38 Bryan's and a few tnf undertakers. I scored a basic sheik and honky tonk a while ago and they haven't restocked any basics since.

I work for Asda (UK store owned by Walmart) and we don't get new lines in until the old one has sold completely/nearly completely. The on hand PI (the amount it says we have in stock) determines when we get new stock sent in, unless ordered manually.

If you think that's bad, my Walmarts are loaded with E32 & 33 and a little E38.

Out of three Walmarts today, one of them had B61. No Nattie, so that left me more bummed than seeing some old random figures.

Our WalMart got a shipper shortly after the first of the year with Elite 39 on it and then got another shipper at WrestleMania with Brock and Taker WrestleMania 32 Elites. Other than those we haven't gotten any regular Elite or basic shipments so far this year. The only thing thats came in a regular case has been the Then Now Forever series and BAF.

Walmart is terrible. Their 3 locations near me and all they have is tons of Bryan and Triple H battle packs, an overload of two different Daniel Bryan elites, a boatload of basics of Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, and Wyatt from different assortments, the create a figs that nobody wants, and a host of Rose/Bunny battlepacks.
