I just received 2 new figures from Ringside Collectibles. I received the nWo Scott Hall and Kevin Nash Elite Exclusives. I noticed something unusual with Scott Hall that I have never noticed with a figure from Ringside before. It may be hard to see on the picture below, but the tape on the left side of Hall's packaging had been cut and re-taped over again, meaning it's been previoiusly opened. This is very disappointing as I collect my figures MOC, I live in New Zealand where we have to pay moonbeams for shipping prices and Ringside Collectibles seem to be reliable as anything. This can't be because of the courier service because Kevin Nash is fine. Has anyone else had this problem with figures from Ringside Collectibles before and what can I do to sort out the problem? Thanks.

And you think complaining on here as opposed to contacting them directly is the more logical move because . . . ? Is this the first thing you've ever bought anything online?

No sir, if you read my post correctly, you would know this is the first time that I have come across this particular issue from RSC, inferring that I have ordered from there more than once. Being in New Zealand, I have to make all of my WWE figure purchases online. I posted this here first to make everyone aware/cautious of this problem and to see if anyone else has had this issue with RSC before. If so, I would be interested to see how RSC dealt with the problem before contacting them directly.

This absolutely doesn't seem like anything Ringside would do. What's the benefit of cutting and re-taping one side of a box? This seems like more of a factory error.
You're going to get told to e-mail cs@ringsidecollectibles.net and then this thread will probably be locked.

And yet again the biggest bunch of arseholes on a message board award goes to.......
Why is everyone on here so hostile all the time? I've never come across anything like it before.
OP, these things happen I guess, it's a toy line like any other so errors of all kinds pop up now and again, could just be a simple error, could be something more, your best bet is to contact ringside and see what they can do if anything? I know it can be frustrating for moc collectors but factory mistakes do happen, distance to where you are shipping to/custom charges don't come into it really nor give you special privilege, it's luck of the draw as it is for anyone. Personally, that tape botch wouldn't bother me too much as its on the side but obviously it's a problem for you. RS are usually very helpful so just ask them. Good luck sorting it out.

I've had this happen a few times...I asked once about it, & RSC Ben never responded....but if the tape looks like the same width as the rest of the tape on the box, I'd assume Mattel did this by accident, if it's smaller like scotch tape then....

Put another piece of tape over it? To be fair I think that's a bit much to ask RSC to resolve an issue like this.

I never had an issue with RSC Years ago I had an issue and called, they sent me another figure, let me keep the wrong one that was sent. No questions asked. They are one of the best companies out there in terms of customer service.

Maybe someone at RSC took a bubble bath with your figure, then put it back in the box... Am I the only one who plays with my figures during bath time?

Here we go again. A whole bunch of post saying not much at all. How bloody hard is it to answer the guys question?
Maybe if some of u had to pay the shipping costs those of us pay outside the US, u might have a little more empathy.
So, answering the question. I have never noticed anything like this from RSC. I would suggest it was a factory thing, which means RSC isn't to blame. That said, I think a quick email might be worth your while. You never know? But it makes little sense for RSC to open a figure and/or retape a figure.
Sux dude, I hope it works out for you.

Are the clear plastic bands around the figure in the package still?

If you have a Ringside Issue, please contact Ringside CS. cs@ringsidecollectibles.net. And I can assure you, it has not been opened and re-taped. This is a factory thing. Most likely was not enough tape so they put more tape. Again if you dislike it, contact Ringside.
