Just saying we're not getting DM WM7 Warrior and Savage today for $25. If paying an extra $5 gets us back to that level of quality then I gladly pay that than see Elites in DM packaging. If both released right now I'd much rather pay $30 for this ...than $25 for this

Depends on the figure. I would have gladly spent $30 for either of the two Sting figure as well as the Hitman. But no I wouldn't spend more than $25 on any of the other DM figures. As it is now KMart charges $30 for a DM not that I would buy one from there. Hell, I almost had a hard time justifying the $42 I just spent there on the NoD 2-Pack.

Put it this way…
I wouldn’t pay $25 for the exclusive RingSide Collectibles WrestleMania XIX Chris Jericho
I would pay $50...twice...for an elite WrestleMania X8 Chris Jericho with the Big Eagle and Big Gold Belts, regardless if it was a RingSide Collectibles exclusive or a Defining Moments figure.

I pay that much for some Neca figures, I would hope for that money, Mattel would also create more elaborate accessories besides cloth attires, like a Wrestlemania ring cart w/ WM6 Warrior, a casket or prop motorcycle w/ Undertaker, or a Gobbledygooker w/ tiny realistic feathers.

It's not our fault they've been dropping the ball with the last few DMs

It really depends. I mean, I'm vociferously critical of current DMs that I consider overpriced Flashbacks. 30 is steep as f#ck for one figure. On the other hand it's incredibly shady to sell regular elites for 25 in a big box. You can mention paint and knee pad design all you want, nobody will ever convince me the new Warrior and Razor had any business outside of the FB line, GAB Sting too, as it's on par with Bulldog. All of the others since the reboot have been iffy at best aside from Flair, Crow Sting, and the unreleased Hollywood. I personally wouldn't be ecstatic to pay 30 for anyone, but Hollywood with all of the accessories and decor would likely be the only one. In fact, at 25, I'd have called the Hollywood a good deal. At 30 I might be more nitpicky about him not having the Hollywood Rules shirt. I understand that they didn't have the rights, but 30 is the most I would ever pay for a figure, and I'd expect perfection to justify the price tag.
I suppose the answer would be no, since I can only think of one figure I would consider for that price, but if Mattel got creative there's no doubt in my mind that they could come up with some really cool stuff that might change my mind, in terms of new accessories and strategic packaging. I'd personally rather see more 2 packs and some accessory packs.

The dm line sucks, I don't even get excited for it now. I'd pay $30 for Hollywood though for sure. I'd pay $30 for goldust with a cloth robe and wig. I'd pay $30 for any macho man with cloth accessory.

For the update "Would you pay $30 for a DM if it means bringing it back to what it once was?"
If you think this is OK, you're a dumb, yes, a dumb.
They were clearly capable at $20-25, and now that the quality has gone down, why would I pay more to bring them back to where they were?

Nah bruh. At some point you just have to move on and not worry about what's out of your control. Bill does a great job, but if his superiors continue to press for cut, then I'll take my money elsewhere. I'm not going to reward them for slacking on me.

I guess my way of thinking is that if the DM line didn't ever go away then the price point would've increased alongside Elite. Five years ago everyone would've went "No way would I pay $20 for an elite, it needs to stay at $15." But gradually we saw it go from $15 to $16 to $17 and so on and in some stores we're willing to pay upwards of $22 retail for an elite figure. The same would've happened with DM. We would've seen it go from $25 to $26 to $27 and eventually $30 and would've been OK with it because it was a gradual change we barely noticed. Elites have gone from $15 to $20 in the span of six years. Which is silly that we're OK with yearly price increases, especially in such a short window. A 5 to 7% increase each year is asinine. Just because we've been taking that and paying those prices, doesn't mean its OK. But then again, I forgot this is WFigs and that a lot of you pay Ringside inflated pre-order prices just to have the figure early, so it doesn't matter. I really can't say it any better than H&M...I'll let this ride...

How much quality and extra stuff went into them? The original Defining Moments line was all about "this is a better Elite figure". Now it seems like it's all about "you'll pay an extra five bucks for THIS figure won't you?"

Why stop at 30? Think about how cool these figures would be if we paid 35! Or 40!

NOW...you're paying an extra 5 bucks for a pair of shades or a plastic vest...it's not worth it. This is just my opinion, but I feel that they shouldn't have brought DMs back if they were just going to be a regular Elite figure with a higher price tag.
