I think we're all in agreement that the Defining Moment line isn't meeting our standards of what we feel the line should be. I've seen countless comments stating something like "should've been an elite...not worth the extra $5." If my memory serves me correctly, I recall the original price point for Elites and Legends were at $15 and the Defining Moments were $25. Over the years the price of the Elites gradually increased to around $20 today but when the DM line was brought back it remained at $25. I personally would gladly pay $10 more than a regular Elite if it means the DM line returns to what it once was.
**Edited poll. Think some interpreted the original poll to suggest paying $30 for a DM in its current state.

Honestly, I already pay somewhere between $23-$33 after and sometimes even before shipping prices when I buy from Ringside so $30 is already something I do. If $30 for a DM would get them back up to the old standards of the DM line then hell yeah

My max spending limit is 30 dollars. I won't spend that on a retail release. I already shudder when I see the RSC exclusive and DM price tags.

Hell no $25 is good, even tho the DM figures should be $19.99 imo.

No. I'd just wait until they dropped below 25 everywhere before buying it and watch the line fail again.

If $30 for a DM would get them back up to the old standards of the DM line then hell yeah This was exactly my thinking. No one complains about pricing on RSC exclusives. They're regular elites that should be $20 but they're priced at $27 with a 10% code its $24.30 but after shipping (in the US) its about $31. If you're willing to pay that for Jericho that only comes with plastic shirt, a Nash with a plastic poncho and a belt, etc then why not be willing to pay $30 at retail or through Amazon with free Prime shipping for a figure with cloth goods and more accessories?

Yeah I'll gladly pay more and more as the accessories decline and QC stays iffy.

Mattel needs to make the DM line what it once was at the $25 price point- not charge us more to bring us back to its former glory. That logic suggests that we are rewarding Mattel for doing a poor job, which really we shouldn't do. Imagine if they did raise the price point to $30 and then the figures began selling. Well, then hey, why not start slacking on Elites and when people complain bring the price point up to $25 and have them "restored to their former glory" as well.
No, no, a thousand times no. Mattel needs to bring the quality back at the $25 price point or kill the line.

If it was an exceptional figure I might, but not as often. RSC exclusives have a higher price because they produce fewer. People still complain complain about the price even though they shouldn't because it's been explained to us. I'll pay $30 for a figure that has more acurate part selection A $30 price would hurt retail sales no matter how detailed the figure is. WWE Shop would probably be the best place for a higher end figure. So long as they don't add their normal crazy figure markup.

I'd pay $30 if they made it worth $30. The GAB Sting and the newest Warrior are worth 19.99 (not really but that's the Elite price).

Yeah if they would provide the quality I want I could justify it. As it is now we end up spending way more by buying extra figs to correct bad parts choices, buying aftermarket accessories from Ralph or whoever, paint, decals etc. just to make them what they need to be. I've gotten sick of doing this so I'm just buying way less but if they'd bump up the quality, save me the time, money and effort, and extra $5 wouldn't be bad at all.

I guess my way of thinking is that if the DM line didn't ever go away then the price point would've increased alongside Elite. Five years ago everyone would've went "No way would I pay $20 for an elite, it needs to stay at $15." But gradually we saw it go from $15 to $16 to $17 and so on and in some stores we're willing to pay upwards of $22 retail for an elite figure. The same would've happened with DM. We would've seen it go from $25 to $26 to $27 and eventually $30 and would've been OK with it because it was a gradual change we barely noticed.

Elites have gone from $15 to $20 in the span of six years. Which is silly that we're OK with yearly price increases, especially in such a short window. A 5 to 7% increase each year is asinine. Just because we've been taking that and paying those prices, doesn't mean its OK. But then again, I forgot this is WFigs and that a lot of you pay Ringside inflated pre-order prices just to have the figure early, so it doesn't matter.
