I find it humorous that this thread was created complaining about a line because it offers nothing new. A lineup of figures a lot of already own offering nothing new. Bill pops in and says its not the final lineup and all I see are people suggesting re-releases and repaints (Diesel, Cactus Jack, and Lita).

Heres the thing... This isnt a line personalized for you or anyone else. You may have those figures, but a hell of a lot of other collectors and kids dont. What about the kids who may of just discovered jake or george on the network and want a figure? Should mattel be like " you kid. Apocalypse and rusty johnson have those figures already. Too bad" I love this line and enjoy repaints. It gives new collectors a chance, as well as new attires the opportunity to be released. Don't like it, don't buy it. Un bunch your panties, I was just giving my opinion on the matter. I don't make or break the line ups, I never once said that they shouldn't release repaints, just stating that I'm not interested in the set... Which seems to be a crime here these days .... Anyway I'm wondering if that rumoured e43 boss man might have been moved up to h.o.f 4 I only mentioned you because the other guy used you as an example. Dont get butt hurt over it. But back on topic.. Im pumped to see if someones replaced or added.

Honestly thinking they replace Steele with WM31 Sting or Cactus. Seems 99% logical.

Still doesn't stop people here from complaining about that fact. The HOF series been repaints and redos yet some act like it's a crime to revamp or re-release some figures. We get new figures in the lineups. Outside of Steele, HOF 4 is a solid series with some highly requested figures.

Considering Edge and Booker T will probably sell really well, I disagree with your opinion. I'll probably pass on both since I have King Booker and the RSC and Series 1 Edge, but I also paid way too much for S1 Edge at the time and too much for Booker as well. Had I not, I would snap these up in a heartbeat. And I don't have an elite Jake, so I will snap this up. They are legit Hall of Famers and sought-after figures. Just because you didn't watch during their eras doesn't mean they aren't worthy additions in this particular line. I didn't start watching wrestling until '98, but I didn't poo poo the inclusion of Tito freaking Santana who's still rotting on shelves. I still bought him. I still have a bunch of Hogans and Warriors and Sgt Slaughter even though I think the Hogan era of wrestling was a bit boring. I don't crap on the HOF line for including Hall of Famers.
George Steele is gonna warm hard though.

Tito was his first figure, Yoko had a new head, Flair was a new head, Windham was his first figure, DiBiase was his first elite, Jimmy Hart was first figure, Big John Studd his first figure, Bobby Heenan was his first figure.

George Steele is gonna warm hard though. No way. People are gonna buy him up for the yellow roses alone.

That lineup is not HOF4, at least not the final lineup. You might want to tell that to WWE.com. They've been promoting it pretty heavily via video ads and picture ads. I reallllly hope that George Steele is on the chopping block. I LOVE the Hall of Fame line but this line-up just does nothing at all for me, especially after how great Series 3 was.

what killed the Legends line was OBSCURE attires like they did with Jake in this set...people didnt buy them because they were overpriced at that time and tack on the crappy attire choices.
the way i interpeted Bills comment was the HOF line is now dead, and its being named something else.

I see this brought up from time to time but don't think that was the case. Besides Snuka and Slaughter I don't think any were obscure at all. WWF LOD may be the more recognizable versions but NWA Road Warriors were just as iconic and fantastic looking figures. Hart Foundation Bulldog may not have been my first choice of figure but wouldn't consider it obscure. By the time the Von Erichs came out, the line was dead anyway and their attires weren't obscure but they just weren't high on anyone's want list.

I love the Series 4 set, but for a different reason than most.
I want zero figures from this set, and with all the money I have spent recently on WWE figures that came out, its nice to know I can get a break with this series and not worry about buying any of the figures.

Can you provide links to these articles? Because I cant find any regarding HOF4 since about 2 days ago. One minute they're up for preorder on a site and the next they're gone and no articles can be found lol. Conspiracy I tell ya!

This is the exact same mentality that got the Legends line canceled. So you think people should buy crap they dont want, just to keep the line alive? No. I want people to stop asking for sh*t Mattel has already made because the demand for those kind of figures is small and stand a much greater chance of shelf warming. Instead of another King Booker, do a Harlem Heat or 2000 WCW Booker. Instead of Steele, who has about a $5 demand on eBay, give us a new character that isn't already out in the world. If you're going to give us repaints of Jake and Edge, at least use the correct parts from past figures. I want to look at a wave and go "damn, I want all 4 of those!" Or, at worst, "Damn, those are 4 good additions to the line, even if I don't need all of them." "Don't buy it," is bad for us and Mattel.

I like the set thats coming. I didnt start buying Mattel figures until after they stopped the Original Legends line so I didnt get a chance to get an Edge or George Steele, or Booker Elite. So this will be nice. And you can never have too many Jake figures.

Don't like it, don't buy it. This is the exact same mentality that got the Legends line canceled. If mattel is not giving people what they want then I totally agree. Vote with your wallet, spend elsewhere. If that kills the hof line, the DM line, etc so be it.
