Yesterday I took my son to see the new Ninja Turtles movie and honestly it was ing incredible! I actually think I would go as far to say this so far is my favourite movie of the year. We both had a great time and they absolutely nailed it. I am a hardcore Turtles fan. TMNT no 3 was actually my very first comic book I bought with my own money (I wish I still had it today!) back in the 80's and since then I have been hooked and given every incarnation a chance. I was not blown away by the last movie, but my son and his little buddies all seemed to love it. But this one I feel they manage to walk that fine line of being something new, but also having plenty for people in their 30's like me. POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT At first I was not too keen on the fact that Casey was a cop, but I got over it and actually quite liked this new incarnation of Casey Jones who is my favourite TMNT character. I think the CG was a lot better this time. I never actually hated the look of the Turtles from the first movie like many other people did. But this time I think they look much better. I really like the way they developed the characters this time as well. If you are a pretentious douche bag then this movie is not for you, but if you just want to have a lot of fun then I honestly cannot recommend this movie highly enough especially if you have kids or younger siblings. I honestly cannot wait for a third which brings me onto my next point Text is in white only read if you have seen the movie! At a certain part of the movie, Shredder gets put into for lack of a better term, prison chamber. Now I am not 100 percent, but I think I saw a Tricereton in one of the other chambers! Did anyone else see this or am I imaging things.

I'm a pretentious douchebag and not really a big fan of TMNT, but glad to hear you liked it. I just watched the trailer two days ago and was suprised to see Sheamus was RockSteady. Looks interesting and I always like to hear die hard fans enjoyed the new updated versions. May give it a watch if nothing else comes up.

The first film is among the worst films I've ever seen. So bad, it almost lowers my opinion of the entire franchise, and one of few films I've never been able to finish.
I won't touch this film with a 10 foot turtle pole.

I'm curious if we will get Baxter The Bot or Baxter The Fly.
Fly or riot.

I enjoyed the last film. It was fine, nothing bastardizingly offensive about it in my eyes unless you got film critic levels of nitpicky so I've been looking forward to this one probably since I found out Amell was playing Casey Jones. Glad to hear it's living up to long time fans' expectations.

I hate how the turtles look. CGI was so unnecessary here. The original, simplistic turtles from the Turtles and Turtles 2 (Secret of the Ooze) were the best. It's the same case with those new Planet of the Apes movies. Give me the original 1968 Charlton Heston version any day of the week. Those apes were ing terrifying. And so much more believable. I still get chills from the jungle chase in that movie. Timeless cinema.

Just watched it. It made me feel like a kid again. It never got overly complicated. There was a ton of CGI, yes, but it looked much better than it's predecessor. It didn't waste any time with backstories to the new characters. It badically catered to folks who pretty much already know all of that. I like that. If you aren't a fan of ninja turtles (especially the cartoon incarnation) there's no real need for you to see this anyway. It was a fun movie. Still not fond of the look of the turtles, mainly their attire, but I liked the movie.

Just saw it. Was fun. They better go the Baxter The Fly route. We don't need two robots.

It was a lot better than the first. It was still an over saturated, souless, cgi fest. The same fundamental problems existed with this film as the first. Lots of fan service but in a Resident Evil movies kind of way instead of a good way, like Deadpool.
Regardless, it was cool to see Rocksteady and Beebop. I thought those two stuck pretty close to characterization. I liked the idea of building the technodrome. It culminated in kind of the same final battle scenario as the first but it felt better with Krang this go round.
Not sure if we get a third but count me in on wanting to see Fly Baxter. I still feel like they're wasting Shredder and Karai. A lot more they could be doing there but the dynamic with Krang, Shredder and R&B was the right direction, more so with the latter.
It was worth seeing. My nephew enjoyed it. I still don't think it delivers on what 80s babies in mass are looking to get out of a turtles franchise. If they're going to continue to play fan service at random, I'd love to see Tiger Claw.

Saw it and loved it. I brought my nephew & godson who are TMNT crazy to see it and the entire theatre was into it. Pity it isn't doing better numbers at the box office though.....it deserves better.

Hoping to see this during the weekend.. I really enjoyed the first one and this one looks infinitely better than that.. People have stupid high expectations for the TMNT tho, like they want it to be a Dark Knight type of gritty realism.. Even tho the source material was brutal and violent, that's not exactly what made them their fortune.
They've been more kid friendly than blood spattering crazy.

For some reason people were expecting a remake of Heat here with the turtles standing in for Pacinos crew and Shredder for DeNiro...... As I said it was damn entertaining.
