Why don't Mattel release the iconic figures in the specific ring attire or from a specific match or era that everyone seems to want-? We do get plenty of flash backs and cool 80-90-2000 characters but why not with The look we want?
Where is wm3 macho man, undisputed Jericho Flashback HHH 's. Ss Seth Rollins etc .... Etc....
We seem to get plenty of the actual characters but I'm disappointed there not what u want them to be...
What's your thoughts ?

They always leave us wanting so we buy what they offer because it's as close as we'll get. Standard marketing. Shame really?

I can't believe we still don't have 1998 Undertaker (other than that one basic), which was his biggest run, or an American Badass Undertaker

I think it's probably strategic. As soon as the iconic attire is made, for some people, they will not buy any other attires of that same character. It's like that for me. I like to buy only my favorite attire of a character as pass on the rest.

That's a great question, and even though MDT does a 99.9% fantastic job, they also thought red and black LOD were a huge risk at retail(we had to badger for them for years), so I think besides money and our wishes, it also comes down to the captain's taste buds. I think if they really jammed out more iconic, provocative attires, we'd have the #1 line instead of #3 imo, hopefully if the "E45" lineup ends up being a legends line, it can allow for more repaint opportunities(metallic purple SS98 HHH). This is just me assuming/speculating.

I like to buy only my favorite attire of a character as pass on the rest. Pretty much this. Once I get a 2000 era Game Triple H I won't need anymore figures of him. Same goes for Legend Killer Randy Orton. The Mattel line started in 2009 and we only just got a Hunter Hearst Helmsley figure as a TRU Network exclusive. How many modern HHHs have we got since them. It's the same reson they put out a white/black Hall before the red/black Hall. It's the same reason we never got a Python Power Hogan or Hollywood Hogan, they were holding out on them, unfortunatley we probably never will get those figures now and this is why I worry about people like Hall etc.

MDT held back Hollywood Hogan to keep interest in the line (it back fired, but surfer Sting took over 12 months from a row Sting). It's sales strategy, and a very good one. The bigger problem is what we are gettin AGAIN... The re-issues suck.

Its a business plan and probably over head involvement as well.
Also, re-releases are great for sales. They see figures that go for alot on the second market and immediately know it will sell. Its smart

I think I remember reading years ago that someone from Mattel, probably Bill, said they didn't want to do anything attire wise that JAKKS had already done.

It blows my mind. Yes I can 100% understand some decisions and why they do the ones we want last. But others baffle me. Mark Henry has had a few releases why no nation of domination? I think it would sell as well as any other one. Sometimes the obscure attires end up kicking them in the ass like Snuka and Slaughter. No one wanted them. I just hope we get a Debut Goldust soon before it's too late

Yea we are long overdue for a Macho Man with robe. I also think the line lacks Piper figures. We need one when he sported long hair, such as when he won the IC belt at RR '92.
