THE CURSE IS OVER, ITS FINALLY OVER!... Well depending on who you ask. Cleveland finally has a champion... Kinda, Last night the Lake Erie Monsters defeated the Hershey Bears in overtime 1-0 to become Calder Cup Champions! As nice as Stipe Miocic's UFC title win was I didn't feel like it was a title for the city, it was more for him. But this really feels like a championship, I'll be it a AHL title still isn't on the level of the NBA, NFL, MLB or even NHL "gold" but it's still a championship for The Land. Whether or not you believe it's a real championship for the city of Cleveland or not, I've heard the argument go both ways. It's still something nice for sports fans from the city to have being that the chances for the Cavs are slim right about now. But either way Congrats Guys!

Since the question is being debated I added a poll with the question; Does this title count?

Well of course the title counts, they won it, but they still have a long Big 4 drought that might keep going on for a while.

NOW the curse is REALLY broken. I missed MITB to watch the game and cried like a little baby when it ended. Following this team through the good times and the bad times, and pretty much doing that with all Cleveland Sports teams all my life it felt like a demon was exorcised.

I'm glad the curse got broken. At least it wasn't the Browns.

I'm glad the curse got broken. At least it wasn't the Browns. If Bradys suspension holds. Week 5 in the NFL will be glorious.
