Thinking back through your collecting days, is there anything you would do differently, i.e. getting certain figures when they were available in stores, selling or getting rid of part of all of your collection, etc?
For me, there's two things I would change.
The first huge mistake I made was giving my HUGE Jakks WWE collection away years ago when I thought I was completely done with collecting and had found interests elsewhere. That collection consisted of so many great figures that now, I would do anything to have them back.
The second thing is I wish I would have gotten back into collecting a lot sooner, specifically around the time Mattel took over production. I've only been collecting again for a little over a year now and missed out on so many great figures when they were so easily available in stores. I know I could get them still, off eBay or even a site like spam but that presents a challenge at times.
Just something random I was thinking about. How about any of you guys?

I would have bought Bulldog and Vader in the Legends line, and I would've gotten DM of Savage and first Taker.

passed on the 1st cm punk and kane rsc exclusives during several sales but dont really regret that. figures look cool but i am good with the versions of them i got.
i would have to say passing on the 1st time in the line basics hoping for later elites. missed knox, hurricane, masters, carlito, probably some divas, and eg m$m.
passing on some dms cause i had a different version of the character and was trying to only get 1 of everyone(that went out the window years ago). would have gotten dm warrior and hbk.

I got in a little late and at the time e16 Nash was going for $50 moc and I refused to pay that much. That was a mistake. Also, I only bought one Rse nwo macho man and rse macho king.
Not many regrets though for me, I have planned this hobby carefully and I've stuck to it.

I'd probably buy basic Both Dallas for £5 when I had the chance, instead I payed £18 for the Elite.

Held onto all my Remco figures and rings. I don't recall ever getting rid of them but I have no clue where they are either.

As far as purchasing goes...i would change nothing. I have never passed on anything I wanted.
But if I were to change anything I wouldn't have given 90% of my toys to my little cousins in the mid-90's.

The only thing I can say is when the Ultimate Warrior DM figure came out and I found it a few times in TRU, I would go back and get that and try to made it to a signing of his somewhere to get him on it. But I didn't know when/if that would be a possibility, plus, each figure I looked at had defects of some kind, so I never got it. But I wouldn't mind still having it today just to have.

I would have gotten a few more legends that I passed on for cheap and not pay preorder prices on some figures

I got another. I would not have paid $50 for the Horsemen and waited until they were $12.50. Same with most of the HOF series that I easily found for $10.
