Post all of your tips here.
Draft defenses and kickers late. Since the point differential is usually pretty thin between the best and the worst in both defenses and kickers, make sure you don't waste too much thought in drafting these. Save your early spots for some quality position players.
Running backs are the way to go when starting off a draft. If you get the first pick, you should select a running back. Since in most leagues, you play at least 2 a week, you need some quality backs. Drafting Peyton Manning #1 will leave you with little to no talent at RB for the next time it's your turn.
Watch your bye-weeks. Try not to have both of your starting RBs with the same bye-week. Same goes for your other positions. If your starting quarter back has week 4 off, make sure you don't draft another week 4 quarter back.
Never be afraid to gamble on a rookie. Chances are, at least one or two of the rookies are bound to break out this year, it's just a matter of who. What I do is wait until the rounds grow a little later, and gamble on a rookie or two. You never know when you'll pick up a Kevin/Julius Jones. If there's a rookie sitting there in the 15th round that you like, and he's going to be benched anyways, why not take a chance?
Draft players in duos or combos. Some great combos are Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne; Brett Favre, Javon Walker, and Donald Driver; Marc Bulger, Torry Holt, and Isaac Bruce; Kerry Collins, Randy Moss, and Jerry Porter. There's more, but if you can draft at least one of the QB's targets alongside of the QB, you'll be in good shape.
Some players to look out for are below. Don't have that #1 pick to get LT? Have a later round pick and want some talent? Or just looking for a guy available in a later round who you don't know will produce big for you? Here are some players I've been high on:
-Willis McGahee - RB, Bills
-Deuce McCallister - RB, Saints
-Corey Dillion - RB, Patriots
-Rudi Johnson - RB, Bengals
-Domanick Davis - RB, Texans
-Cedric Benson - RB, Bears, ROOKIE
-J.J. Arrington - RB, Cardinals, ROOKIE
-Carnell Williams - RB, Buccaneers, ROOKIE
-Javon Walker - WR, Packers
-Andre Johnson - WR, Texans
-Reggie Wayne - WR, Colts
-Michael Clayton - WR, Buccaneers
-Roy Williams - WR, Lions
-Jerry Porter - WR, Raiders
-Laveraneus Coles - WR, Jets
-Donald Driver - WR, Packers
-Mike Williams - WR, Lions, ROOKIE
-Kerry Collins - QB, Raiders
-Brett Favre - QB, Packers
-Marc Bulger - QB, Rams
-Carson Palmer - QB, Bengals
-David Carr - QB, Texans
-Jason Witten - TE, Cowboys
-Dallas Clark - TE, Colts
-L.J. Smith - TE, Eagles
Some players to stay away from, fantasy wise. Some of these guys will either have bad years, or they're just not great fantasy players. The list is below:
-Chris Brown - RB, Titans
-Fred Taylor - RB, Jaguars
-Darrell Jackson - WR, Seahawks
-Santana Moss - WR, Redskins
-Muhsin Muhammad - WR, Bears
-Michael Vick - QB, Falcons
-Aaron Brooks - QB, Saints
-Ben Roethlisberger - QB, Steelers
That's my "expert" advice, and I'm by no means an expert.
