I'm not a fan of guys just facing off at a PPV with no history or feud other than the WWE just randomly picking them to face each other. It's just complete laziness. They really can't think of a way to have someone start a feud with Brock Lesnar other than "just because"? As for the question, Kevin Owens or Dean Ambrose are currently the only guys I'd really have any interest in seeing face Lesnar. I just pray to God it's not Roman. Lesnar getting a title shot against Ambrose would be a great story that writes itself - Ambrose would look like a credible WWE Champion after having beaten both Roman and Rollins with his title on the line, but now has to conquer his greatest challenge yet and avenge his one-sided loss from Wrestlemania. So, since it actually would make sense, of course it's not the route they'll go.
Also, what happens if Lesnar suffers a severe injury at UFC 200 this weekend after his SummerSlam match is already announced? All of this just seems like poor planning. I love this idea. I was furious at the way Ambrose was squashed. It would have been so easy to make him look like a million dollars in the loss, but they didn't. Now, another compelling story that writes itself that there is no doubt that they will bungle. They have bungled easy money far too many times: The Invasion, the nWo, Hogan vs Austin, pretty much three times with Cody Rhodes and twice with Dolph Ziggler...arguably with Sandow and the cash in as well. I have ZERO faith in the writers. I'm a great writer, but you don't have to be a great writer to sell Ambrose/Lesnar 2, for the world title....but they will still bungle it because they worship Brock Lesnar and they hate to stray from the formula, even when the formula is against the wellness policy.

I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be disappointing.
Randy Orton is so boring, I don't care if he ever comes back.
The only interesting name I can think of is somebody who it won't be - CM Punk. Now that would be something!

If they do Ambrose/Lesnar II it's absolutely NEEDS to be the match that Ambrose pushed for at Mania.
And if the rumors about the company being ticked off with Lesnars attitude about the UFC 200 fight are true then Brock absolutely HAS to be defeated.
It will end up being Orton though.
But God I would LOVE if it was Angle.

Realistically speaking, it is not hard to see WWE having Lesnar take the fall at Summerslam regardless of who his opponent is because WWE is not happy Brock is doing this fight. This is why they have yet to mention it on air EVER. If Lesnar WINS? WWE will ram it down your throats namedropping UFC like crazy, but they don't want any of their fans giving UFC any revenue prior to the fight by ordering the event.
I see these options when it comes to who he is facing at Summerslam being in the realm of possibility:
1) "Whoever the WWE Champion is" (which would end up being Ambrose) 2) The Return of Randy Orton (for a nice little "dream match" and solid attraction for the PPV that isn't the main event)
This is basically it. Announcing any other current WWE superstar's opponent being Brock Lesnar at Summerslam would give that superstar something to think about. Why should any of the relevant stars be distracted by the thought of fighting Lesnar when they are probably in a storyline for Battleground. It makes no sense. That is why a winner of a match or a returning superstar are the only options.

They didn't accounce it at the Smackdown tapings, so it must be a pre-taped promo.

They are announcing It on SD just screams a dream Match. If its golberg or angle I will literally sign up for the network 5 min later. Any thing else is a disappointment.

To those saying Angle, there is a better chance it would be Mojo Rawley. Angle almost certainly wouldn't be able pass WWE's physical to compete at all. Even if he did, there is such a minuscule chance WWE would even allow him to face Brock. Angle's body would not be able to withstand a beating from Lesnar anymore. Look at the guy, he is falling apart faster than Taker was.
As for who the opponent will be, it should be either a Shield member or Orton.

The fact they're doing it in smackdown kinda makes me think it's not gonna be all that great. My money is on Orton.

That booking still makes no ing sense to me one bit. Supposedly he was pushing hard for some really crazy spot as well.

Well I wasn't there so I don't really know lol However if I was a better man I'd say Brock was against it due to what I can only assume was the possibility (at the time) of his UFC 200 fight. It wouldn't surprise me if it was Vince though, however The Asylum match would make me question that decision if it was Vince lol.

I was really hoping Randy Orton would kind of fade away and never come back. He has to be one of the worst multiple time champions the last 20 years.

I love Brock, but he probably could have sat out this SummerSlam. Seems strange just putting him in there with a random opponent.

Gut feeling it'll be Orton or Goldberg for a one off match. Both would be pretty big match ups, both of which I would be interested in seeing. If its Ambrose/Brock II this time for the title not that interested with there WM match up being a let down. The only match I would want to see more then Brock/Orton or Brock/Goldberg II would be one final match against a returning Kurt Angle or Batista. Both of Which I think are long shots at best.

I'd be alright with Randy.
In my own perfect world it'd be Kurt Angle.
