The USDA has just flagged Jon Jones for a potential anti-doping violation. He will now be out of the main event at UFC 200.
Which means..Brock is now main eventing.
This leads me to my question.
It's been said in the past that Dana White dislikes pro-wrestling, and he's even used the dreaded F word to describe it. But ironically, he's now relying on a pro-wrestling star for a major ppv.
While the UFC may do better here and there with ratings, etc, will it always need the entertainment and legitimacy of wrestling to survive? Without the pro-wrestling style storytelling, can it survive as a pure sport? And how has the WWE influenced it's way of booking?

Imo wrestling has little effect on ufc besides lesnar, punks reputation.
I think it comes down to fans want to see someone actually get their ass kicked.

I wouldn't be surprise if Bork Laser did a suplex during the fight.

I was pissed when i read that, cause i was excited for the rematch between Cormier and Jones. I'm done with Jones. Could care less how great he is, he's his own worst enemy at this point. On to Leanar, IMO the fight could go either way. Either Lesnar will depend on wrestling him to the ground, or Mark Hunt will knock Brock the f*** out with one punch.

You mean Dana White found out that his champion failed a drug test and he didn't wait until after the PPV to suspend him? How odd.

Now I have to wait until the end of the card to watch Brock Lesnar get embarrassed.

I like that Dana's response was simply "This Sucks".

Can this be moved to the UFC board It's related to WWE due to Brock Lesnar, don't see why it'd need to be moved?

really disapointing. first DC pulls out due to injury, and now jones either took an illegal substance, or indulged in booger sugar. so many cards have had fights cancelled. still one hell of a card though minus this fight....

Just pull the plug on Jon Jones. He has a big problem. I was listening to him yesterday afternoon on UFC tonight with Michael Bisping and Kenny Florian and he kept going on and on about being drug free and sober. Now this. How many chances will this guy get?
