Just wondering, Is there a reason that there's so many attitude era stars Mattel hasn't made yet ? Shamrock, Venis, d'lo, blackman, crash holly, too cool, mideon and viscera and I could go on and on or even releasing sexual chocolate mark Henry or acolytes double pack ? Am I missing something haha cos Like clearly Attitude era was the most popular time in WWE but there's so many figures from that era we haven't seen and surely there's money to be made there as a lot of current fans got into WWE from that era? Like I see them releasing tugboat, Paul orndorff ,Tito Santana etc from years before surely that's a smaller niche than the attitude era fans ? I could be completely wrong but just curious haha thanks in advance for any information x

Its all niche outside of the huge name like Hogan, Cena, Stone Cold, The Rock, Macho Man, Sting, Flair, Warrior.
People have to be under a WWE contract to do figures. Mattel has said they wont sign individual deals.
Everyone thinks the era of wrestling they grew up with is the best.

Several reasons. One they have to be under some sort of merchandising deal with WWE. Another reason is that Mattel may be hesitant to make a lot of figures of characters of that era due to them not being very PG. I doubt they would want packaging saying Sexual Chocolate right next to their Mattel logo. That being said, we do have a few from the attitude era. Latino Heat, 2 DX HBKs, DX HHH, New Age Outlaws, APA, Lita, Trish, Edge, Christian, Godfather, something like 4 different Rocks, NOD Farooq, Mankind and Cactus Jack, a few different Undertakers, at least 3 different Kanes, Mr McMahon, several Stone Colds, Jim Ross. And I am sure there's a couple more I am forgetting.
**Remembered some more. Pillman, Bulldog, and Bret. X-Pac and Rikishi

Shamrock is a pretty widely requested guy on here, apparently in a relatively recent interview he said he'd signed some kind of merchandising deal? (Unless I'm confusing him with someone else)

If I had to guess... I'd say Mattel knows how old the older fans are (like me) and our figure buying days are probably slowing down, so they're pumping out the older legends first. The attitude era guys have a lot of time left to be made and soon the 80's guy will be like gorgeous george to us as kids. The a/e guys will take their place as most thought of 'legends'. They're just capitalizing. They know the market and they're not stupid. Like I won't be collecting a new series of figs after these right - so that;s it for me. No more of my money will they get so better get it all now.

D'lo brown, Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart and Sable are the big ones for me. Jakks made a lot of the ones I wanted but for some reason D'Lo has never been made despite being a pretty good WWE run.
Jakks made Al Snow, Shamrock, old school Test, Viscera, Holly, etc. So Jakks took care of a good chunk for me.

I was a huge fan in the 80s and huge fan in the attitude Era when I was a teenager. To me the 80s legends have/had more staying power. I mean comparing Val Venis to Paul Orndorff or D-Lo to Jake the Snake, there is no doubt who were the bigger names and better all around wrestlers.

(Unless I'm confusing him with someone else) Here is a dream 4 pack Shamrock with cloth robe ic title, Severn cloth gray tshirt and nwa title, Blackman with white cloth sleeveless tiger gi and hardcore title, marvelous Marc mero cloth robe and beanie.

It's a fact that there was more fans then than any other time and therefore more popular , and obviously not all of them collect figures or even still watch WWE but odds wise surely attitude era stars would be more known than other flashback eras And you can't compare Jake the Snake to D'Lo haha that doesn't hold up, a half of fame legend can't compare to a mid carder, id rather compare to tugboat, i don't think I've ever seen anyone demand a tugboat.
