Just a couple of question for you guys...
I want to watch through the 'Heyman Era' of Smackdown when he was the lead writer. When does it start? Anybody have a specific date?
and
What do you think makes it such a memorable era of pro wrestling? Favourite moments?
and
60. Minute. Ironman. Match

Not sure when it started but Raw was crap back then and Smackdown was beyond amazing. I would put it on the same level as the Attitude Era.

I forget when he exactly took over, but you can start from September 2002 and go to January 2004 for the prime Smackdown material if greatness.
After Benoit, Edge and Shelton went to Raw in 2004, I felt the Raw brand definitely was better and Smackdown sort of just wasn't as great as it was for the next couple of years.

Heymans SD! was a sight to behold.......the Tag scene especially was an absolute treat. Its a pity some just couldn't put aside their massive ego's and leave him to F*ck alone to get on with it.
There was nearly always a weekly highlight on SD! back then.......even the Un-Americans were entertaining back then.

mysterio's debut, eddie guerrero finally becoming a main event player, edge and hogan, lesnar and angle's feud, bigshow's return that actually made me care about him again, cruiserweight division...was a good time to be a fan back then. even if it meant seeing hardcore holly a bit too often.

Up in Canada, there is this show called "Off The Record" and they had Paul Heyman on it back in 2003/2004 (I forget exactly what year it was) for an interview. It was kind of cool and Paul talks about the writing of Smackdown here.
