I'm curious to know how everyone here watches their video entertainment in terms of which services and hardware you use to watch Live TV, On Demand content, digital/cloud libraries and what device(s) you watch these on. I'll start.
Live TV - DirecTV
I've looked at Sling TV and PlayStation Vue and have found that at least for now, what you can do with DirecTV vs. the others and in terms of quality, DTV is the way to go. Plus, I use their iOS app to stream the channels you can stream through it and to schedule recordings. And with the DirecTV login, I'm able to use many TV network apps on iOS and Apple TV. And for those channels that don't have these features, I use Slingbox that allows me to access my DVR box in its entirety from anywhere in the world via iOS apps.
Purchased Movies - Blu-Ray, 4K UHD, and iTunes through Apple TV
I still buy Blu-Rays, but mainly because they come with an iTunes digital copy. To me, it just doesn't make sense to spend $10-20 on the digital copy alone if the Blu-Ray comes with it, just have the disc around if for some reason you need the physical copy. There's also quite a few movies available in 1080p on iTunes that may never come to physical format. I've also started buying 4K UHD discs to be ready when a Sony 4K Player comes out because I don't plan to stream 4K digital copies as they will not be as clean as playing 4K on a physical disc. And I watch purchased movies from iTunes in the Cloud through the 4th gen Apple TV.
Purchased TV Shows - Blu-Ray and iTunes through Apple TV
If a show exists on Blu-Ray, I'll still buy it, again for the reasons I mentioned for still buying physical movies. But I mainly stick to buying them through iTunes and watching on a 4th gen Apple TV.
Streaming Servies - Netflix, Hulu Plus, UFC Fight Pass, and WWE Network on Apple TV and iOS devices
These pretty much speak for themselves, but I will say that for now, I haven't upgraded Hulu Plus to commercial free cause I really only have it for Main Event and in case my DVR doesn't record Tonight Show or SVU. If I ever cut DirecTV completely then I will, but it's not a big deal right now.
I do also have movies and TV shows within Google Play, Amazon Video and VUDU, but I mainly focus on iTunes for digital purchases.
