I don't know if anyone else talked about this, so i apologize if it has been talked about.
Has anyone noticed that when an NXT figure is announced or is about to be released. That superstar debuts on the main roster.
For example: When Enzo, Cass, Crews, The Vaudvillians, and Baron Corbin's figures were going to be released they all debuted on the main roster.
or
Just three days after getting drafted to smackdown, Alexa Bliss and American Alpha figures are announced.
So the way I see it, NXT figures are put in a line only if that guy, girl, or team is about to get called up. So Aries, Auska, Nakamura, and the Revival are going to be called up to the main roster soon very soon.
I know what some are going to say, Hideo Itami has a figure and he isn't on the main roster. yes that is true, but don't forget he was injured and out for almost a year, so I'm sure he was going to get called up, but the injury halted it. Also some will also say, Nia Jax was drafted and she wasn't announced at SDCC, again true, but i'm sure she will get a figure very soon, It's probably taking long to make because of her unique body type.
As I type this, it sounds like utter nonsense, but I thought it interesting.
What do you all think?

I sort of agree with you. I can't say that "yes this is 100% accurate" but you have a point. I think Mattel is trying to make the figures as close to a Main Roster debut as possible. There's still a lot of people out there who aren't familiar with the NXT roster. I only know of them because of you guys and friends haha. I've seen 1 episode of NXT. I can't say that Asuka, Aries and Nakamura's figures are foreshadowing their Main Roster debuts. But it's a good sign. I mean I think what Mattel is trying to do is make the higher up NXT wrestlers knowing that they are being called up sooner than others. We certainly won't get a Billy Kaye or Payton Royce over Carmella or Alexa. And I think the reason Hideo, Joe, Finn and Bayley were made so soon is because they are/were high profile NXT stars. Basically I think it's safe to say that the upper card talent and the "soon to be called up" NXT talents are being made. So we just have to play the waitin game and see who gets called up haha. I don't mean to ramble but I just wanna add that what Mattel is doing is phenomenal! Getting NXT stars out has been a huge selling point for me. Like I said I've only seen NXT once. So seeing action figures of people I haven't even seen in action yet is awesome! If I was a kid, I'd be stoked. I used to be so impatient on waiting for debut figures. I still am! Jakks was horrible with that. But Mattel has such a huge and colorful roster of figures thanks to the NXT additions! It lets us mix not only Legends with current stars but also future stars. What a time for wrestling figures

bayley has been out for a bit and she hasnt been called up yet. think they make figures ppl want and it is all coincedence. aries is getting a figure but they know he has fans based on his work in tna. wouldnt surprise me if it takes time for him to get called up if ever. same with roode, sure they will rush his figure.

I think it has just been a coincident that they have. The lineups are planned up to a year in advance. And it takes about that long to make a first time in a line wrestler. There is no way Mattel would know when stars are being called up that far ahead of time.

I think it's just a coincidence. They only make figures of the top NXT people.....the same people that get considered for WWE Call Ups. So by the time you become a top NXT person and they start making your figure, it usually takes a year to get a new character in the line, so by the time the figure is ready you are usually called up or just about to be.

Figures are made based on popularity and current wwe standings. So getting figures and getting called up around the same period is kinda a given.

Samoa Joe and Bayley both have figures out and are not on the main roster yet. Nia Jax is on the main roster and doesn't have a figure yet.
I think what you're experiencing is a matter of timing. Someone like Apollo Crews can debut in NXT and then have a figure released around seemingly the same time as he gets called up to the main roster but I think it's only because of how much time the average talent spends in NXT. Granted, Tyler Breeze spent way too long in NXT, but if you factor in how much time it takes for someone to get an action figure made when in NXT (because they're not going to obviously release a figure for an NXT talent who has only appeared on NXT TV two or three times) and then the time it takes for a talent to be called up from NXT, I think those two things coincide and that is what you're witnessing. Not "Oh, Bill wants to make this character and put them into stores. Main roster call up time!"

I wish Bull Dempsey would've gotten a figure. They always do big guys so well, and a smilling Bull-Fit head with accurate hair would've been awesome. Still a bunch of NXT Superstars that won't be called up soon and should get figures like Tye Dillinger, Blake and Murphy, Peyton Royce, etc.

I see it. Not all NXT guys, but a good majority. Cool observation

I thought this too but I think it's coincidence, Elite Bálor and basic Zayn came out a good few months before their debuts.
