Any thoughts on all of the claims that Stephen Harper has been making? Tax cuts and shorter health waits for health care.
What do you think of George Bush Jr's outlandish claims?

This is almost too rediculous to post! This graphs are unbelievable. I think P. Diddy needs to come up to Canada and start a VOTE OR DIE campaign up here. I hate it when people don't take part in the election. No right to complain over bad decisions by the government if you didn't vote. We might as well take part in the small piece of representative democracy we have. www.cbc.ca/canadavotes/voterstoolkit/voterturnout.html#

Any thoughts on all of the claims that Stephen Harper has been making? Tax cuts and shorter health waits for health care. What do you think of George Bush Jr's outlandish claims? Cut out the GST huh? Hmmmm. Sounds like a ploy to get peoples votes, and he's probably gotten a few more with that. Shorter wait times for health care. How's he gonna do that? Hire more health care staff? That's gonna cost money. Tax payer money. Boy it's gonna be too bad when that 2% is gone and there's no more money coming in. Ridiculous. Granted, being Albertan, I don't have the problems of PST, but I really don't see the 5% GST being that big of a deal. For all those people who have troubles getting by, sure it'll help a little but it's not like they'll have trouble spending an extra $30 on the $1500 big screen tv they just bought because they're not buying the big ticket items so 2% isn't going to save them from poverty. Besides they'll get the rebate cheque every 3 or 4 months, I can't remember when they send them out. And to add to it, it was Mulroney and the conservatives who introduced the tax in the first place. Also Chretien and Martin have both stated that they would eliminate the GST as well and where is it now? Still on my receipt for the crap I just bought yesterday. False promises I tells ya. We live in a socialist society, much to the shagrin of my fellow Albertans, and in order to keep everything on the up and up, taxes are needed. Don't get me wrong, I hate having 30% of my pay subtracted, but I understand where it's going. Drives me bananas when the same people who bitch about the streets being all beat up or the government doesn't hire any more nurses, are the same people who bitch about taxes. "I don't want the government to take my money! But those bastards better hire that doctor to treat my lung cancer for free!" I think that's all I'm going to say right now, too angry. Took an hour and a half to get home from work today. Usually takes about 20 minutes. "Everyone get outta my city!"

Here is the way I see this election:
The Liberals will win because Canadians are just to scared to not have the Liberals in power. The Conservative leader in Steven Harper reminds to many people of George Bush so I can't see him winning. The NDP just dosen't have enough support to really do much but be a spectator and the Bloc, well we all know where they get their votes and it will never go any further than that. I predict a Liberal win once again and I think it will be a majority government.
