Trading both Owens and Cesaro for just one person will make Raw look like idiots. It's Stephanie, it's Orton, It's Raw. Remember when Someone was traded for the Dudleys and Booker T?

I was literally thinking about a Cesaro/Owens trade to SD, & what it would take for Raw to get in return. If they keep pushing Orton like they are (& put him over Brock) I think it's more than fair.

Owens and Cesaro on SmackDown would be best for everyone involved. Best for them as superstars, best for SmackDown as a show, and best for everyone else on RAW (particularly the younger guys). But, I don't think they need to go the trade route. Both Cesaro and Owens have already established storylines that could easily lead to them leaving RAW.
Owens continues to mention Sami Zayn in interviews and it makes sense for him and Zayn to eventually continue the feud and have it culminate in a loser leaves RAW match under the idea that they simply can't co-exist on the same show. Or, if you don't want to risk SmackDown getting the 'loser' of the feud and thus seeming the lesser show somehow, just make it a loser gets fired match, have Owens lose and disappear for a few weeks, then have Daniel Bryan and Shane "sign" him to SmackDown because he was a free agent.
As for Cesaro, he's already established being frustrated with management. Just have him continue to voice those frustrations, specifically mention that he only got the US Title match last Monday after having already wrestler once that night. You can easily make a storyline about him getting 'fired' or his contract expiring which leads him to appearing on SmackDown.
A trade could work, I just don't think it's needed at all given that RAW can definitely afford to lose a couple without needing anyone in return.

So 2 young rising guys are worth 1 old Randy Orton? Great way to bury your talent Vince! Orton is 1 year older than Cesaro...

I rather see Owens stay on Raw. The tag team thing he has with Jericho at the moment has so much potential. They could easily be Tag Team Champions together. I actually agree with you. JeriKO getting the tag titles and a lengthy run as a team is only beneficial to both guy. Plus......you know damn well when they split Jericho will put KO over most likely giving us a face KO. I agree. But I hope they keep KO as the heel and Jericho as the face. Owens is just so good at being a bad guy that I dread them ever turning him, although I'm sure he'll do awesome work as a face too.

I don't have an issue with Cesaro jumping to Smackdown. He's out of place on Raw and is going nowhere fast. At least on Smackdown he can be a building block of the IC Title scene.
Owens shouldn't go anywhere. He's going to be a top heel on either show and right now he's a big part of making a looooonnnnggggg Raw show moderately entertaining. He doesn't need Smackdown to build up his place. He just needs to take his place on Raw, which could come quickly if Finn wins the title.
I'm in favor of Orton and Cena being on different shows. I'm in favor of Owens and Zayn being on different shows. Seems to me all of this would be cured by trading Orton for Cesaro and Zayn. Zayn can immediately become the IC Title contender babyface that Miz needs, and everyone is separated the way they should have been on draft day. Cesaro can become a heel since there is opportunity there on Smackdown. It's really the only chance he stands of ever getting out of the midcard. I still don't think it'll happen. Not with AJ and Bray, not with Ziggler being the guy who is getting the shot Cesaro wants, and not with Cena and Ambrose around, but it's better than his odds on Raw imo.
I don't have an issue with trades but it makes them look dumb when these issues could have been resolved at the draft with just the slightest bit of thought. I think what we should take away from all of this though is that Orton is Vince's favorite toy right now.

He's one of those guys that so damn good as a heel that people gravitate to liking him. It's happened to him everywhere.

I am in favor of this move, but I still really think that the draft should have went the route of RAW having all of the old school guys and WWE home grown talent while Smackdown had the indy guys that made their names outside the WWE machine.Switch Orton to RAW and bring Owens/Cesaro over to Smackdown would help in that department.
Plus Smackdown is pretty low on talent right now and with Cena becoming a part timer they need more talent to fill out the roster, and talent that fans actually care about like Owens and Cesaro. The Smackdown roster is so tired and lacking with the only interesting characters and wrestlers besides Cean being Styles and Lynch.

SD needs faces. They already have AJ, Wyatt, Miz, Corbin, and ADR as the top heels. They only have Ambrose as a full time top face, with Cena and Orton working part time and Ziggler and Kalisto as the top midcarders. Put Cesaro on SD and he's instantly a top face along with Ambrose. Keep Owens on Raw where he has more opportunities as a heel.
