I don't think the SS figures have ever scanned at Target for some reason. That's why they went to clearance so quickly. I think someone ended up getting them for like 3 bucks each or something a week or two after they were first found IIRC. |

It's like Walmart's site but irl haha I get a kick out of the fact that Walmart tries to scam you by putting the figures on "clearance" for the regular price for a little while. Just trying to see if they can get a few people to buy it anyway because it has a red price tag. Then they go "awww all right, all right...knock it down from $19.98 to $19.96". I wonder if the CEOs of Walmart and TRU have a longstanding bet on who can be the stingiest with their clearance prices. |

About fifteen years ago, I was collecting Playmates Star Trek 9" figures. Target had an exclusive set of four for $29.99 each. Regular 9" figures were $19.99 When the exclusives went on clearance, Target marked them down to $24.99. Of course, they also marked the regular figures up to $24.99. Nice to know things haven't changed in the last fifteen years.  |
