The only ones I have in the package Right now are my signed DM GAB Sting and my E41 Balor that I'm hoping to get signed soon. Next will be the E45 White Rollins to get signed as well. I want to have them signed with a signed trading card with that exact attire signed in front of it... Here's my start: I also have this card on the way ready to go for e45 Rollins:

Oh and if I could ever find a Legends 6 Warrior signed for a decent price that would be my Holy Grail. I also have a signed Hogan card, two black attire signed Rollins cards, and I want a Bret Hart and Shawn one as well but I'm not sure I'll ever get figures signed of those guys/attires. I wish we could get Macho Man stuff signed still too :-(

I think I'm going to open my bent card basics at some point for a display of some kind but I'm leaving my Elite figs in the boxes.

If I did keep figures MOC it would be ones who look cool in the package such as Elite 30 Batista and most DM.

I like opening them. I do have a few MOC. I have zero intentions in keeping them that way, I just haven't gotten around to opening them as I only display about 10 figs at a time. When I want to make a change they sometimes get opened them depending on my mood. I do keep the boxes around for storage purposes.
It also really depends on how much room you have and how you like them to look. There is no right or wrong answer. Totally personal preference.

Pretty much all my basic figures are loose, except for like 9 (and those are pretty rare ones that's why). All my Elites and HOFs are MOC expect for a couple. At this point I'm a 50/50 collector and I like it that way

If Mattel adapted the style of the figures which we cannot name then this wouldn't even be a topic because it could be both ways. Which figures would that be??

I'm a both-er. I don't really have a system for which ones I open and which ones I don't, but let me put it to ya this way:
If I got the Adam Rose Elite, thats an open. If I got SES Punk, my Holy Grail, that stays MOC. J&J Battlepack, open. E20 Jericho is MOC. So I guess the rarer I think a fig is, the less likely I'd be to open it.

This reminds me, I have another question. Are certain figures made more of others in the same series? Like the Sami Series 40, did they make less than others or did it just sell way more than the ones still easily attainable?

That makes sense. I guess that explains shelf warmers to a degree. As in you'll see a ton of HOF Tito Elites at Target, but it's possible you haven't seen any others.

I opened that Zayn, unaware that it would become as rare as it is. But this makes me remember another reason I open some of my figs: the accessories. Opened figs are displayed on a four-tiered shelf, and I like to switch belts around. That Zayn contained my first NXT title belt, which I now have on E43 Joe.

I have no room for packages and the patience of a little kid. I love admiring my figures from all angles and posing them. I will admit that the packaging has largely been nice other than the ugly ass 2014 elites. A well curated MOC collection can look really sharp and you can get autographs on them. Dusting them is a snap.
However...opening them and playing, be it what I do where I just pose the and rearrange my shelves all the time, or full on putting moves and submissions on each other can be very therapeutic. Sometimes after a long day, simply sitting in my office and posing a figure around takes lots of stress off me.

Modern packaging is ugly and takes up too much space. OPEN THEM. That's my take.
