I know the injury he suffered was life threatening and it is likely he has wrestled his final match, but has it been made official by the wwe that he has retired from in ring action?

It hasn't been officially announced whether he retired or not, but I'll be shocked if WWE allows him to wrestle again after his life threatening injury.

Not officially, but the WWE will probably wait till his contract is up to see what they can agree to

Neck injuries can be tricky.
Edge broke his neck in the Fall of 2002, but wrestled until February 2003 with it. Then was out of action until April of 2004. So I wouldn't rule anything out yet with Tyson Kidd.
I am wondering if there is a chance down the road for a return, which is why nothing has been said yet about him retiring.

He is better off retiring

Sad to say that he has been wasted for years and will never get a decent push so it would be safer retiring.

A friend of the family trained with him up here in the Northwest and keeps in touch. He told me 4-6 months ago that he is lifting and training like nothing happened and wanted to come back. But wanting and reality are different
