Didnt care for him at all. I'm just glad he got to return after how he was fired, at least he picked up a big paycheck this time around.

Since he debuted in 2010, I was never really a fan of Del Rio. JBL had already done the wealthy stereotype gimmick, but now instead of Texas it was Mexico. I think people can realize it now, but the most over thing about him was Ricardo Rodriguez because the entrance got a lot of heat that ADR was never able to replicate without him. And he always found himself in the title picture. Time after time.
The whole "Sí!" thing was a brutal ripoff and flopped as was that whole babyface run. I can definitely agree that the terms surrounding his first release were unfair, but the guy just never had it if you ask me despite the fact that WWE pushed him continuously. Fans just didn't seem to care either.

With Paige gone now I have no idea how they'll reconcile, but I suppose El Patron is due for a return to the Temple.

I never wanted him back in the first place! I thought he was going to bore us again, and he sure did. The behind-the-scenes drama with dating Paige and both failing drug tests, however, was pretty interesting.
Now the most boring guys in the WWE are Cesaro and Sheamus and their horrid never ending slugfests.

I said when he showed up at Hell in a Cell that his rehiring was a colossal mistake and would be a huge failure.
I was right.

Yawn. Wake me up when I give a crap about Del Rio. Guess I'll talk to you never!

I liked Del Rio, but he's been lost since 3 weeks after returning. Was hoping the brand split would help revitalize him, but guess we'll never know.

Smart move on his part to leave once again,he was never really going to get a shot in the main event scene again with the likes of Cena,Orton,Reigns,Rollins,Ambrose and now Styles and Owens at the top. While going back outside the WWE system he can make a decent amount of money and pick and choose where he works and the number of dates.Which is a pretty sweet deal and can basically do whatever he wants with him being one of the biggest free agents out there in the market right now.
It really sucks theirs not a WCW like company today in terms of a legit number two company that could give WWE a run for its money. The talent is out there both in terms of older names that can draw and still go in the likes of Angle,Dudley Boyz,ADR,RVD...ect and younger talent like Rhodes,Ryback,Strong,SZJ,Ibushi,Hero,Magnus...ect that could make for a very interesting product.

He held a press conference in Mexico earlier today. (At a Hooters,... with a kids playground in it like the ones you might find at a McDonalds) He announced that he can start working in Mexico now and in the US next month. He already has 35 dates booked. He plans on only booking about 60 dates a year for the next 2 years, then retire. He's talking to CMLL, AAA, and Elite, but doesn't want to sign a contract with any company, wants to remain independent. He's in talks to become President of a MMA company, and bring a Mexican restaurant chain to the US.

Badass wrestler. Can be very entertaining.
But most of the time he he has less excitement about him than a piece of plywood.
I will always recall MITB 2011. Chicago liked him. I liked him. Everything was all good. They hot shotted him. His promos sucked. Mexican aristocrat? GTFO with that 1987 baby back bull sht.

Well, he came back and made an assload of money (wasn't the contract 1.4 million?) and met Paige so he won.
