They need a big match for next Monday too. Hillary/Trump I is happening and I honestly may watch it over RAW.

They did good with that ending. I wasn't expecting much.
Let alone an Ambrose clean win.

And that's how you get people to tune in next week. How is Smackdown so drastically different from Raw? I seriously think someone else is running Smackdown, not Vince

I'm not sure where people are getting the information that Hunter is running Smackdown but isn't involved in Raw? I haven't really seen anything of the sort, and it's been confirmed that the McMahon/Dunn combo is present at both shows. Vince has been traveling sparingly recently, though, so its been just Dunn in charge. Typically, he's just an extension of Vince, so Vince's absence doesn't explain much.
Ryan Ward is the lead writer for Smackdown (formally of NXT), but he was in that position prior to the brand split. Perhaps they're just letting his/Triple H's philosophy guide the show now rather than running with the traditional formula. I'm not sure, but it's working. Smackdown is in a totally different class over Raw right now.
Even when the show isn't great, it's well-paced, soundly booked, and mostly logical, compared to the disjointed mess on Monday nights. Smackdown is outclassing Raw in every intangible way. Now it's just a matter of taking them over in the ratings. It won't happen this week, but the chances are pretty high come next.
