By the way, the cell was used greatly last night so I don't know what some of you are talking about it just being there.

Overall, I thought this was a decent show.
I expected Reigns vs Rusev to be similar to Reigns vs Wyatt and sadly it was not. A bit boring in parts, and Super Roman prevails again.
Bayley vs Dana was a solid little match, nothing more, nothing less. For what it was worth, I really enjoyed it.
Similar to the last match, Enzo/Cass vs Club was also solid. Enjoyed it.
Owens vs Rollins was spectacular, and Jericho's interference was well done. The powerbomb table spot was brutal. Great match.
Perkins vs Kendrick was solid, but the story here is awful. TJ just looks like an idiot for falling for Kendrick's tricks.
New Day vs Cesaro/Sheamus wasn't as good as their match on Raw, but still a good match. I'm a fan of New Day, but their reign has to end. Break the record and get it off them.
Sasha vs Charlotte was a great match. Absolutely brutal. The table botches take nothing away from the match for me because the first table couldn't be helped, with the leg snapping, and Sasha bouncing and rolling off the 2nd table looked brutal. I disagree with the title change here, there's no reason for it IMO. This should've ended the feud. Take nothing away from Sasha and Charlotte though. The match was absolutely fantastic and they proved that they deserved the main event slot. The story didn't, the finish didn't, but they did.

Just finished watching Hell In A Cell. Some thoughts...
- So tired of SuperRegins. Fans mostly are too. Apparently the powers that be in WWE are the only ones who actually think this crap is good. I don't even really have an issue with Roman Reigns as a wrestler. He's not great, but he's not terrible. It's just this whole SuperCena style booking that doesn't work anymore. People aren't buying it. And please, someone explain to me how he's the good guy in the feud? HE interrupted Rusev and Lana's wedding celebration to start the thing. How is that a good guy move? The match itself was fine. Nothing spectacular, but worth watching once. The accolade with the chain was awesome and Rusev continues to be one of the very bright spots in all of WWE. Sad that he, once again, had to fall victim to dumb and stubborn decision making.
- Dana Brooke vs Bayley, while not a great match at all, wasn't all that bad. Dana is still pretty green and probably should have stayed in NXT for a bit, but she is learning and getting better. The whole feud has clearly been a place-holder for Bayley, who will most likely begin a program with Charlotte soon.
- Gallows & Anderson vs Enzo & Cass - Nothing special here. Decent, but you won't miss much if you don't watch it.
- Rollins vs Owens was excellent in every sense of the word. Part of me does kind of wish it would not have had Jericho interference involved and part of me screams for a heel champion that doesn't have to resort of shenanigans to keep his title, but Jericho and Owens are soo good together (best part of RAW week in and week out), that it works.
- Perkins vs Kendrick was okay. It seemed to lack a bit of energy (probably from poor placement on the card). I thought Kednrick should have been the first Cruiserweight champion anyway (though it made sense for the tournament winner to get it), so I'm glad to see him capture the belt. The finish was actually pretty good and made a lot of sense with the story they were telling. Yeah, fans could see it coming from a mile away as soon as Kednrick starts acting injured, but it makes perfect logical sense for someone like TJP to believe it in the midst of a match, given the history between he and Kendrick. And props to TJP for the after match facial expression. It's subtle, but clearly says "You got me... I fell for it like a dope, and while I'm disappointed not to be champion anymore, at least it's you who is."
- New Day vs Cesaro & Sheamus. Pretty good match here. And I liked the creative finish. Kofi wasn't an official part of the contest, so him hitting Sheamus definitely warrants a disqualification. The fact that Cesaro had Woods tapping to the sharpshooter at the same time is a fantastic way to further the feud and continue the New Day's reign (so they can beat Demolition's record, which they pretty obviously will). I, for one, love the pairing of Sheamus and Cesaro. The work well against each other and they work well as a tag team.
- Charlotte vs Sasha Banks. Great match between two women well deserving of being the first to main event a pay per view event. I thought they used the cell pretty well throughout. Not sure about the start to the match with the stretcher job. The table bump looked pretty brutal and I liked the idea behind the start, I just don't think they needed to go so far as actually getting the stretcher involved as it killed a little momentum. Banks is great at making herself look like a rag doll on some maneuvers and Charlotte is stellar at her roll as a ring general who looks like she's always in control, even when on the losing end of a move. There's a lot of people who didn't like the finish to the match. I'm not in that camp as I thought it was pretty well done if you look at the story told from the beginning. You have Sasha Banks take a pretty nasty bump before the match even officially begins. She valiantly guts it out only to take some additional beatings inside the cage. Sure, she dished some out too, but she was clearly taking the brunt of the punishment. After twenty minutes or so, she just didn't have anything left. Obviously the table was supposed to break at the end there (it was poorly positioned in the corner, need to be a bit more vertical). Regardless, it still worked as it told the story of someone who gave all the had, but just didn't have enough. Bravo to both ladies. I hope they (and/or other women) get the chance to main event additional ppv and weekly shows in the future. All that said and as much as I liked the match, Charlotte winning was absolutely, 100%, the wrong call. I suspect the aim is a Bayley/Charlotte feud and that's why she won, but she shouldn't have. Sasha needed a big match win. Yes, she has two title victories, but both came on RAW and WWE has made it pretty clear that PPV Events are what matter most. Sasha needed that major event win on the main roster and she should have gotten it here. There's plenty of other ways to get the title back on Charlotte for a feud with Bayley if that's what they wanted. Have some sort of match on RAW where Dana Brooke costs Sasha the championship and you instantly have a new title hold, plus something for Banks to do. More importantly, you built the live crowd up (and I suspect most of the at home audience) to see a superbly gusty, hard fought victory for Sasha Banks in her home town. And in the main event, nonetheless. Charlotte comes Ric Flair. She was born to main event. She was born for the spotlight. Sasha Banks was never supposed to be there. They had a real opportunity to tell a fantastic feel good story with Sasha Banks coming out victorious in front of her home town crowd in the biggest match in the history of women's wrestling and they blew it. It was a great match. It could have been a truly memorable moment.

The end to the Womens match made no sense at all. The start was fine with me as it added a sense of anticipation, and the Match It felt as though it was leading to somewhere, ultimately to a big ending or spot of some sort. Instead, the finish just kind of came out of nowhere, and it killed everything they had built up towards for the previous 30 minutes. There's still no closure to this feud either which makes little sense as there's nowhere else to go after Hell in a Cell. Wrestlemania was the time to pull the trigger on Sasha and they failed to do so. Since then, it straight away became a matter of when not if, and her runs as Champion have suffered because of this. Still, I'm struggling to understand the logic behind this one. Fair enough they want to solidify Charlotte with all of these record numbers, but they are seriously damaging the biggest face in the process. There's only so many times people can be bothered to buy into the chase.
The rest of the PPV was largely forgettable.

Its time to come to the realization that WWE wants Charlotte at the top, Everyone else is going to be beneath her and thats just the way it is. And that's exactly the way it should be.

I finally got around to watching Owens/Rollins.
That was INCREDIBLE. The only thing I would have changed is I would have had Jericho come in AFTER the Owens table spot.
Even with that it was still one of if not THE best HIAC of the the modern (PG) era. One of my favorite matches I've seen in a long time.
Fantastic work by those two. I can only hope that we se MUCH more of those two against each other. I'd love to see them in a ladder/TLC match. I HATE that TLC is exclusive to one brand now for this reason alone lol.
Great job by Owens and Rollins.
