My Target and Wal Mart suck. I went to Meijer and they still have 2 Brodus Clay from like series 16 still on the shelf.

after finding Amazon Prime I rarely do retail anymore.
My Walmart had a lot of older stuff from like last Christmas still warming a dead end cap and Target is well Target. TRU is the only place I go to locally now for their Exclusives.

I long for the days of new figures at retail price.....
I know that Amazon has new figure for retail, but you have to wait a week for it to come.

I work in the backroom at Target. The only thing new we got in was Zombies. Nothing else new is coming in figure wise except TMNT, I think. Thanks for letting us know.

It is crazy that a line that has dedicated shelf space at Target, sits empty (or pretty damn empty) And due to Target being so dumb, IF they ever get new Elites in I'm sure all these $4 and $5 Bo's and Bray's will end up right back on the shelf!

For about two years running Walmart has really overdone it and with the worst sets they could too. And last year they had that weird best of set that was the worst "best of" I'd ever seen. I remember seeing a WWE case and an employee was kind enough to open it for me and I didn't want to be rude to them at all but they must've seen my face recoil in disgust and anger when I saw Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, Triple H, and other duds that were already clogging shelves staring back at me in a new case packout. Those figures are still on the shelves a year later. It didn't take long for every store in my immediate area to be loaded down with them.
As for Target? They have had no basics at all since they sold out in July. And that's at any of the three that are close by.

I counted 13 Bray Wyatts at my nearest Walmart. Plenty for Triple H and Cesaro too. The 4 Adam Rose Elites need to go on sale, as they have been there since last Black Friday.

I'm an assistant store manager at Walmart and I might be able to offer some insight as to why it's so hard to find anyone good in the stores.
Our inventory is replenished automatically when the on hands drop below a certain threshold. The problem is that we periodically receive large freestanding displays that screw our counts up. For example:
the shelf can hold 16 elite figures when we get down to 8 figures, a new case is automatically reordered
but...
if we get a display of 20 figures, when that display is taken down all of the unsold figures now have to be worked to the shelf so all the shelf warmers from the display join the shelf warmers already on the shelf now we have 18 Daniel Bryans and John Cenas and the new series won't be automatically reordered until we get down to the magic number of 8 figures
It sucks.
You can ask a department manager to manually order a case, but the order probably won't be approved because the store already has too many figures. Walmart doesn't distinguish between a desirable figure and a shelf warmer because they're all under the same item number.
Another problem is that when Mattel sends a case of 8 elite figures there are usually 4 single figures and 2 pairs in the box.
The pairs are almost always the shelf warmers and they make up half the case.
You would need to have someone in charge of the department who has the knowledge of a collector to keep the stock fresh. They would have to periodically manually mark down the crap and most department managers just don't know the crap when they see it.

About the only reason to go out and figure hunt for wrestling figures is for exclusives and when members tell you about great deals: IE Elite 41 at Big Lots for $10 ($8 if you went during their 20% off day).
No one wants to pay $20 for figures, but if people do they want it to be the new stuff. Currently, Amazon is the only place to get the newly released figures for $20, shipped. Not a bad deal for not needing to leave the house.
That said, I did treat myself to the Holiday Elite set on RSC and Marvel Corps X-Men Box for X-mas!

How do some Wal Marts that have, day 3 pegs dedicated to Elites sit for months with 2 to 3 figures on them Does that mean they are in back just not being put out?

TRU's here are pretty bare- typical battle packs, hardly any basics due to the current Big Book sale, Network HHH, Ringmaster and Roman and a few Elite Sid's. Checked out a different TRU today and more of the same except I did come across E41 123 Kid and Funk which I haven't seen much of in the past.
Target's here are even worse. I have a Target about 10 minutes from my house and they literally have a couple zombies and about 8 Tito's. The other Target close by had the same but I did finally see the WCW Ring with the Dusty.
Wal-Mart actually had all of Elite 43 except Bret so I grabbed Samoa Joe and KO while I could. Haven't even see E42 in stores which is strange to find E43.

Ugh, with Target clearancing Elites (mostly down to JYD and the Matadors) why don't they clearance out the Titos? I honetly can't remember the last time that I went to a Target and saw any HOF figs besides the 4-8 Titos rotting. He may not be the worst Shelfwarmer of all time, but he might be the worst exclusive shelfwarmer, far worse than Rocky Maivia who I rarely ever see anymore.
As for other stores....
Walmart is almost exclusively TNF (pretty much all of them), Zombies (minus Paige), leftover E34 (which they somewhat recently brought out several new cases of inexplicably) minus Doink, Cena, and maybe Hogan, Adam Rose, about 50,000 Adam Rose/Bunny and Undertaker/Bray Wyatt sets, and truckloads of the last few series of the previous cardback basics. (I was in Buffalo recently, and replace the E34 with mixes of E32 and 35 Bryan and nothing else...middle of nowhere Anderson CA still has some leftover E30 Batistas, Lugers, and Rybacks)
TRU has tons of Spotlights minus HBK, PTP series battlepacks, and a bunch of leftover E41 (all but Finn)

How do some Wal Marts that have, day 3 pegs dedicated to Elites sit for months with 2 to 3 figures on them Does that mean they are in back just not being put out? There's three possible reasons why that would happen 1. The figures are out in the distribution center and the warehouse is waiting on mattel to ship them (not likely) 2. They actually are sitting in the back, but they're lost or buried (possible, depending on the store) 3. The counts are off. This means that the store thinks that it has 12 figures when it actually has 3. Even if the store sells those 3 and the shelves are empty, the store thinks it has 9, which is more than the reordering point of 8. The shelves will remain empty until someone fixes it. Counts can be thrown off by receiving errors, mistakes made at the register, theft and incorrect inventory adjustments. This happens ALL the time.

I was actually shocked last night when I stopped at Walmart to pick up some Ibuprofen for the wife and they had put out a new case of B63...AND it was right when they marked the basics down from $9.97 to $7.44. I actually managed to buy Sid and Heyman...at retail. Glory be!

Bought the Sid but unfortunately Paul had black smudges all over his face, so I passed Refreshing to see something new finally. Now if they'd only get something newer on the Elite racks than E40!!
