At my walmart all the basics they have are of Daniel Bryan are on sale for $7 and at target they cleared out and emptied out but still left the shelf space. At my one wal mart I found just 1 case of the basic series with Samoa Joe on the pegs and looked out of place. I think both these stores are preparing for the holidays and hanging on to stock before the shopping season starts. I have a strong feeling that like every year prior (at least in my area) Wal Mart will over do it and BAM!!! great selection again same with target. Thoughts and whats going on in your area?

Honestly, after I grabbed the TNF figures at Walmart I haven't really had much of a reason to go there anymore. They haven't had anything remotely new in months otherwise.
Target is a barren Wasteland that hasn't had anything I needed, wanted, or already had since I picked up the Dusty WCW ring there months ago.
It's getting to the point where both are a complete waste of time unless they have exclusives.

I went to a Walmart and they had the Becky Lynch series of Basics but only one or two figures from it- not her of course- and a bunch of John Cena. Another Walmart has the Baron Corbin series but not him from or anyone else really worth noting, and then they have some random Basics like John Cena, Cesaro, Undertaker, that Honky Tonky Man series of warmers.
At Target the Basic Bray Wyatt they had was 6.48 (but might have been less if I price checked him) They had JYD x 2, Bo Dallas Elite and Bluetista on clearance for $5.48 each (marked 9 something on the box), so that was fun. They also had that Bray/UT Battle Pack for whatever reason.

The sad thing is that they'll bring out their exclusives and then those 4 figures are all that you'll see in that store for months.

I work in the backroom at Target. The only thing new we got in was Zombies. Nothing else new is coming in figure wise except TMNT, I think.

I see the basics on sale at my Walmarts too. Targets also looking empty for the most part. I am looking forward to a new awesome selection as well. My one request would be for every store to stop ordering the Zombies now....I am afraid all of the zombie lovers have picked them up, and future orders may warm super hard. I don't think anyone wants to see that.

Price-wise, Basics, Battle Packs, and off-shoots like the Zombie line, probably make the most sense for the average retail store.
As a collector, it's nice to have local options for the Elites and such, but I just don't know how much the market in a lot of areas across the US supports $20 single figures.

I wish my Walmart would get new elites. They won't because they have 6-7 Elite Daniel Bryan's rotting there

Most of my Walmarts have a ton of Battle Packs in stock all the time. I noticed that the Sting/Warrior TNF moves way faster in my area then the others. I still see Warrior/Cena, J&J, everywhere etc.
