It feels like it took forever but it all finally came in...
I used to think it was a sin to buy vintage stuff just to open and play with it but that seems to have radically changed over the years..
So now it all sits nicely on my shelf like this.
I still have to pick up AT LEAST a Nash, Hogan and Sting to really feel like this set is complete though, plus I think the World Titles that comes with the Hogans might be better than these ones..
..glad I could pick up Goldberg before he returned too, (well ordered him before he did) because it seems like the price of his figure has had a boost and a half since Sunday, ofcourse can't blame people...if his Toronto appearance didn't make you feel hardcore nostalgic, I don't know what will!
A few rough spots with these guys being packaged so long then opened, the batteries were corroded and hard to take out, not get myself covered in acid, and hard to find the right replacement ones (and more money than I would have liked to spend) but that Electronic Steps Accessory was the big seller on this ring for me...
...also, the belts being on these guys for so long was okay BESIDES The Giant whose belt took part of his singlet with him...
...also since the way both these were package (not the usual glued down plastic with no way besides sun damage to get in) I still had to clean them even though they were technically brand new.
Not really complaints, more just speed bumps on a great roll uphill , can't wait to finish up my next order!

Sweet arrivals!
Damn, never realised the batteries were still in those steps: I own a MIB ring with Hogan and Flair (rubber figures).

You say you thought it was a sin to buy vintage stuff to play with - I think its a sin to have vintage stuff tucked away in boxes on shelves never having been opened or played with
Wrestling figures/playsets are toys - toys should be played with :-)

Nice collection, congrats! Anyway I know it's a sore subject with collectors but if you don't intend to resell I think it's up to you if you want to open it. Its with someone that appreciates it and that's what counts!

Yeah, and they've been in yours longer then, you might want to think one day about getting them out or replacing them because eventually the acid will work it's way through the steps and the box. You could do it pretty safely a few ways.

Its with someone that appreciates it and that's what counts! Yeah, plus I find people who don't resell generally except on rare occasions have the best condition stuff open or closed. ...all my best stuff has been bought from guys who sold a little piece of their heart with it.. But maybe that's my bias towards kindred spirits..

Same with scuffs on these recent WCW guys and scuff central on the WWE Power Slammers, just some figures are meant to be torn up looking after a few matches... ...even the part timers!

My boxed ring is all bubble wrapped and boxed again, if yours is handy can you read what the back of the box says about AA batteries? Thanks

Yeah definitely something to watch out for, battery acid and cardboard don't mix.
