Not tryin to be an ass but what's this fella done to deserve a DM figure? His debut in the States was a major deal and the match is considered among many to be one of the best to go down in 2016.

Not tryin to be an ass but what's this fella done to deserve a DM figure? It's not about being "deserving", it's about selling figures, which he'll do. Though he's one of the best wrestlers in the world today, so even if you did look at it that way, I'd say he's deserving. As for the figure itself. I love it. It's not quite perfect, but still very nice. I do wish he'd had the third coat, but that's how it goes sometimes and hopefully we'll get that with his second elite style figure. Both the vest and shirt look perfect. The shirt actually looks better on him than I thought it would. My only problem is the gray beard. Unfortunately, that's something that I've come to expect with stubble instead of them just making it thinner black. That's not enough to ruin it as a whole for me though.

Not tryin to be an ass but what's this fella done to deserve a DM figure? I think it's a strange decision, when you look at the other names (Hogan, Sting, Warrior etc.) in the line. And I wonder if it it will sell as well as the others... yes, it's his first figure - but unless you have the WWE Network/watch NXT, a lot of peeps aren't even going to know who he is.

a very overrated and in my opinion absolutely boring snoozefest of a wrestler. And honestly, i cant take the guy seriously. He looks like there is either somwthing wrong with him, or he is in incredible pain. hear the stories of high school teams letting the kids with downs score a touchdown? Maybe that kid grew up and wwe gave him a title. I know exactly what you're talking about lol. There's something off about him.

Well, he might be on the main roster by then, maybe Bobby Roode or Ty Dillinger will take his spot?

If he's a call-up by WrestleMania then I can understand the decision, but there is still a giant portion of the viewership that doesn't watch NXT. The WWE Network has, what, a million subscribers? Raw gets 3 or 4 times that depending on the time of the year. Factor in the number of people who were watching when guys like Macho, HBK, Warrior, Hogan were wrestling and it's a big head scratcher.
I think this is going to sell poorly after the first wave of people get their figure. I'm going to wait it out on Amazon and put the theory to the test. I see this selling just as poorly as the rerelease Taker. It's not a Nakamura thing, as I think he's awesome, and I think the figure looks great, but I just don't think the market for this figure is big enough for this to move well.
I think this just came down to the fact that Bill loves Nakamura and he was in his fav 5 of guys he dreamed of making. So from that perspective, he went all out and did right by himself. I do hope we see a Nakamura call-up soon and it lines up with the release of this figure. The last thing I want to see is the DM line going away.

If the DM line disappears, it'll be because of re-release Undertaker, UM Warrior, or Yhuganomics Cena, which aren't selling any better than a Nakamura would

I don't wanna hear Nakamura killed the DM line from anybody if it gets cancelled. Because if it does it's cause there's still 8-15 Takers at every store

Has ANY figure sold exceptionally well in the DM line? Outside of surfer Sting, and some Takers, none of the recent ones have lasted long at my stores. I feel like the early ones clogged shelves too, but that may have been more due to how crazy distribution was with Mattel. Either way, it seems like all the recent ones get marked down to around the price of an Elite or lower within a couple of months.
Everyone seems intent to point out how this won't sell at all, but I honestly wonder if any figure would somehow turn this line into an overwhelming success. I feel most of the backlash is a result of people having dream figures in their head that would be amazing for the line, even if they wouldn't move the needle a whole lot more either.

And everyone - even the most casual wrestling fan - knows who those guys are too. I'm pretty sure if the next 4 releases were something like: WM3 Macho Man, Goldberg, Hollywood Hogan, Kurt Angle - then the line would do very well. (...and yes, I'm aware some people don't think Goldberg "deserves" a DM figure - but he's a huge-name/first-time figure and would definitely sell...).

Since they didn't get the 3rd jacket done in time, they should throw in the NXT title.. don't see why they couldn't do that

Everyone knows that shaved short hair and facial hair is grey. It really bothers me. I get what they're trying to achieve, but they really need to go easy on the paint with that.

Like they've ever really cared about accurately matching the figure to the moment. Pretty sure he didn't wear two shirts during his debut either. Did Stone Cold ever hold the Smoking Skull, Big Eagle, and Winged Eagle simultaneously? And Cena did not wear a generic 54 jersey, black knucks, or WW Word Life boxers at Summerslam 2004. Hell, they're not even accurate with their moment description. That was match 1 of 5, so no way did he clinch the series then.

Hope to see moc pics soon. Looks so much better and somehow less cartooney in the red vest than the jacket.
