many talk about scuff marks, paint flaws etc. but i recently notice the figures articulations have issues as well. it started with the thread i made about apollo crews. the shoulders were too stiff to even move, therefor you cant play with it. if you try to move the shoulder by pushing the bicep, the bicep itself moves and it feels like its going to pop out or break the peg.
i just got my american alphas and the elite aj styles. they look amazing, but it is very difficult to move the joints. both alphas have the new elbow joints , and they are so stiff, it feels like i literally need plyers to bend them. jordan's jordans cant swivel, and it feels like its going to break. his bicep swivels are too loose and i have no idea how to fix this. his shoulders are even worse than what apollo has. cant rotate or move for being so god damn stiff. aj's joints are stiff on his upper body, and loose as hell on his lower body. if anybody knows how to fix those issues, and loosen up those tight joints specifically , i'd be glad to hear your ideas.
unfortunate to be so hyped to get figures who cant barely move right, when there are figs who just work well.

Not ideal to do with every figure, but a quick dip in hot water will loosen the joints up.

My Regal had a stiff bicep joint, but a little hot water loosened it up.

The new elbows design doesn't have swivels to them. They are just hinged like the old style arms.

Boy Wonder One Punch Reigns Professor Sparlini tried boiling them for a minute, an hour, and a day, it didnt work. it was good for the period of time it was hot , but after 10 minutes cooling down its rock solid. btw, what about too loose of a joint?

The new elbows design doesn't have swivels to them. the new elbows are tight, and the upper arm that spins on the shoulder is loose. the superior joints are too tight. thats what i mean

One thing to keep in mind is that if you're receiving figures in the mail and it's really cold outside, the plastic is going to be very hard and brittle. So don't just open them up and start cranking on them. Let them adjust to the temperature of your house for a bit or soak in some warm water.
My Tugboat (I call him Tuggers) had an issue with one of his arms not going down. I kept tugging it and tugging it. I tugged it all night long and it just kept pointing up defiantly, threatening to snap right off. Even hot water wasn't loosening it up. I finally just gave up and tried it again the next day with some hot water and it finally went down.
I'm lucky I didn't break my Tuggers from all the tugging. Don't be impatient like me.

You boiled a figure for a whole day?!? And the figure wasn't ruined??

If it stays up for longer than 4 hours then you may have a problem

My Elite 47 KOs head snapped right off. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have heated it up.

I rarely have problems with new figures. The older ones though were a bitch. I still havent found a Rick Rude figure that his legs could go up and down.

It's not a new QC problem... The first British Bulldog elite had arms that couldn't move because the shoulders are too big, and I believe that may just be the problem with the Apollo Crews you have as well.
My only big joint issues are wobbly X-Pac legs and a loose waist joint for E28 Crush.

Lots of figs require a hot bath and super glue to make them better. If you dont know that by now then it tells your age.
