I thinl they are real and legit and he has the sheet refering to all the different colours and number references. I think they are legit artwork of the orange series but photocopies of the originals based on how white and clean the paper is.

Anyone notice it lists "U.K." on the one reference sheet that was provided (after the assortment number)? I wonder if this set was only going to be released overseas. We know the Green Cards had limited distribution.

Yep and if anyone remembers toy magazines from that period, you will know that it was always suggested the final series would be a UK and/or European only release.

I was a little young for the toy magazines at the time. Didn't know that was common knowledge. Got into those around the time Jakks jumped on board. I still remember hunting the AOL boards for the Hart Foundation Neidhart that I used to swear must exist! Miss the pre-internet days.

There's a ton of evidence of this particular fact on the new groups. I've posted a few using the Google News Group archive in a different thread.

I found a reply from Ron I had from back from 03/05/10: Hi Stephen, The figures that I have in cases are all regular figures ,no prototypes. The cases are quite large and feature just about every figure that we produced at the time. I live in Attleboro, Massachusetts not far from Hasbro ,7 miles. I also have 70 pages of figure sculpture sheets in miniature in a bound book that I created when working on the line. And also some Original figure sculpture sheets full size. The cases were made special for the Research and Development team at the time, they all had locks on them but I don't have the keys to open them. 2 Cases are approx. 40" x 22" 1 Original prototype 2 Paintmasters 6 Paint master heads 70 Pages of sculpture sheets in book ? Original Sculpture Sheets All these items are one of a kind and you won't see them any wheres else, if you are interested we can talk. I am not selling separately or in installments. I have dealt with G.I.Joe collectors in the past and have waited nearly three months to get paid for items. I won't do that again. Thanks Best Regards Ron Rudat I have 62 of the sketches and did inquire about the orange cards back then but he didn't comment on them back then. Not sure what 8 other sketches he had Small prototype was of Bigelow, one full size paintmaster was of Warlord, the 6 paintmaster heads were of Bigelow, Shawn (Yellow card), Kamala, Samu, a wax casting of Akeem and ?; as only long brown hair was shown. I tried to get these to upload to flickr but won't for some reason.

So what we saying? Are these bogus? I think the jury is still out. I am sure it's possible Ron may have located these sketches after the communications above. But there are a lot of things that don't quite add up.

From the people on here who tend to know their stuff, I'm inclined to unfortunately believe dubious.

Have you noticed the "world wrestling federation"text on mabel and bastion booger sketches is also exactly the same, backwards 'N'? Is that normal?

Here's Doink and Luger. While I understand the sculpts would be the same, I never saw anything Rudat did that was colored in with the Hasbro line. why would he do it at the end ? Okay, I'm having issues again with flickr. If anyone would be kind enough to help me out. Please send me a pm and I'll email you the scans to post here. Thank you in advance.

Unless you're him. Uh oh. Hahaha.

Unfortunately I only have 8 x 11 copies of the sketches. Ron was and probably still is asking $500+ a pop for the originals.

Following this thread has anyone seen the two up, orange card Undertaker on the popular auction site? I know the Orange card casts have popped up recently, but didn't think anyone would split them up. Any thoughts on whether this is legit or not?

It's definitely a legit head sculpt since i used to own it and got it from a reliable source but when i sold it i didnt advertise it as an orange series prototype head i just advertised it as an unreleased version of taker without the hat but it may be part of that series if he was meant to be in it?

I'm 99.9% confident that that head sculpt is the Undertaker. With that said...
Every time I look at it, there is a moment of hesitation where I think "Man, why were they going to make a Stan Lane as an announcer figure?"...
