Yup, it is deeply disappointing to see that MDT allows such scale issues in their final products. There are quite a handful i can think of: DM surfer Sting HOF Flair Walmart Bash96 Sting Elite 45 Luger AJ Styles APA bradshaw TRU debut Cena I don't think that the two Sting and the HOF Flair heads are too large. People don't seem to factor in their 80's hair styles. The GAB '90/Starrcade '90 surfer Sting has the large spiked hair that Sting had back in the day. And the BatB Sting/HOF Flair heads they have puffy (Sting) or puffy thick hair (Flair). So if you were to imagine their heads were sculpted bald instead of with the hair styles they have the heads would be scaled correctly. And with Lex I think the new head is scaled correctly also. I don't have styles yet. But he has that long thick hair that covers his face in real life so again the sculped is going to make it look larger than it is. Again if I imagine that figure bald the head looks to be scaled correctly. I do feel the APA Bradshaw's is too large though. I don't think the problem is that the head on the Bash Sting is too big...I think the problem is that he looks too skinny from the waist down.

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Network Spotlight Finn Balor (from Takeover: Dallas), but I noticed in the Ringside Fest pics that his head seemed quite large as well with the new scan that they're using (the one in Basic 68). Doesn't put me off at all as it'll probably be figure of the year to me regardless, but I hope it doesn't become too big of a trend among the newer figures

I'm still trying to figure out why the Sid Justice basic is so much taller than the Baron Corbin basic.

I compared the Bash Sting and the BAB Sting for height and head size when I got it home the other day. After fixing the neck of the BAB Sting I got his eye level the same as the Bash Sting which is what I wanted. What I couldn't fix was how robust and huge the BAB Sting head is compared to the Bash Sting. The face and roundness is way bigger. On the bright side the scan is pretty amazing. Maybe they just couldn't get the likeness without enlarging it.

The pics post of batb sting are angled funny and it makes the head look huge. The fact that its sitting low on the neck doesnt help either.
Head looks fine in hand though.
Size perception on here is skewed as hell.

The head is large...the torso is ridiculous.

Maybe they just couldn't get the likeness without enlarging it. Exactly my thoughts. People are blind if they can't see how huge the BAB Sting head is. The only reason why it looks like it has no neck is because the size is off. If the headscan was shaved by 1/4 inch all around, the head would sit just fine and would be same size as Bash Sting. Since Bill didn't think the sets would be out so soon makes me think he didn't get a chance to review the samples or final product which is fine since Mattel is pumping so much product out, Bill can't catch everything. I just hope we get a Basic version with the correct size to swap since this is a really nice figure.

Even though I'm switching the torso with Bulldogs, Its really not as bad in hand. I'm beginning to notice a lot of figs or heads don't look good at all when photographed. Just like the new Hall head is dead on Scott hall but pics make it seem off. Don't jump to conclusions too quickly until its in hand.
I do agree heads are getting a bit larger though.

I don't think the problem is that the head on the Bash Sting is too big...I think the problem is that he looks too skinny from the waist down. No, he looks too big from the waist up When compared to Sting in real life, yeah. He wasn't THAT cut and his arms weren't that big...but I'm talking about the figure itself. The head fits with the torso and arms, but the figure is too skinny from the waist down.

All I know is they have botched two surfer Sting heads.
2 plus years for that...

the Spotlight Roman has a HUGE head too. It's making it easy to pass on a bunch of figures, hopefully the trend doesn't continue

^^ To be fair though, we've all known the Macho Man head to be on the tiny side. It was sculpted that way for the bandana to fit. Look at WM8 Macho Man, his head is way bigger. BatB Sting's head is big I agree, but that pic comparison is misleading.
