What I'd like MattelDesignTeam to recognize is that Ziggler arms + bulldog torso is the more appropriate parts choices for any surfer Sting. How about when he is released again THIS gets fixed too? And don't forget thicker legs. I think Hawk's thighs work well.

I've noticed this too. Not a fan of these big heads.

I've seen comments here and there about the scale size with respect to the heads on figures. The ones that come to mind for me are the Target Exclusive Dusty Rhodes and Bash at the Beach Sting. Don't get me wrong, the sculpts are magnificent. Unfortunatley when you stand them next to other previously released figures, there can be noticable scale differences. This was one of the obvious shortcomings of customizers trying to copy a Jakks head and put it on a Mattel body. It just didn't look right, however, now I'm starting to see some official releases that appear to have that same issue. I recall Bill saying I.R.S. was delayed because the first proof he received had a problem with the head size. Are we starting to see larger heads because items are being rushed through production? Is creating larger heads intentional? Am I just imagining it? Figure heights has been challenging at times, especially when you take the basics into account. I hope head scale doesn't pose a new problem. I'm very much looking forward to the new Piper. When I look at the prototype photos, I'm really hoping he does not suffer from an enlarged head. Wow just wow...............I honestly wish I had this much time on my hands to just sit there and figure out what's wrong with an action figure.

Dash Wilders's head seems rather large as well.

Yet you have enough time to not only register on an action figure forum, but read through this thread, felt compelled to hit "reply" to hoganvspiper's post, to somehow cleverly insult his constructive critique? Seriously, this is a first-world-problem, I get it, but where else would you suggest we talk about toys if not in the toy forum? back on topic: Mattel using black plastic and painting over with flesh colour was a cost-cutting measure. This issue however concerns me more because there's a breakdown in process/communication here, from the sculptor's 2-UP to the mold not calibrating the shrinkage correctly. Big heads = more plastic = more cost?

This issue however concerns me more because there's a breakdown in process/communication here, from the sculptor's 2-UP to the mold not calibrating the shrinkage correctly. Big heads = more plastic = more cost? Oh boy look out! We got a clever one here. You're right I do have 10 or 15 minutes in the day to scan this thread and laugh at hyper critical people like you and point out how dumb your expectations of a toy is. All you guys do is complain. Sometimes the only way I think the majority of you would be happy is if mattel just stopped. Seriously head sizes? Don't like it don't buy it! And if it's not the head sizes it's the height or the paint or the choice of wrestler. It's like you think if you're negative it makes you look like you are more intelligent than you actually are. Further more back to your mention of my time. I imagine that you and the weirdo that wrote this thread sit there like the old man from toy story obsessing over the smallest details for hours until you find something to complain about. Mattel is the best. They aren't perfect no one is or can be but they are the best. Maybe you are more like that troll from lord of the rings...my precious
