So IF and it's a big IF the artwork shown in the other thread is truly the orange card lineup (Mo, Mabel, Luger, Doink, Double J, Booger and Diesel) any guesses as to a logical next wave after these guys?
Here's my possible lineup:
Quebecers Owen Hart Bret Hart Undertaker Jerry Lawler Sparky Plugg
I think Bret and Taker were due for new figures being some of the biggest names in the company and not having had a figure since the red cards.
Owen in his heel look was a must at this point as he was a huge player by early 94'. Same with Lawler with his long fued with Bret in 93/94.
Quebecers were tag champs in 93/94 and way more successful than MOM.
And Sparky just seems like a random character they seemed to be pushing pretty hard at that point.

Maybe Bob Backlund too? Otherwise that seems on par.

I always thought Backlund too, but not sure knowing how far behind Hasbro always ran. I remember he was huge in late 94' fueding with Bret, but before that I don't think he was of much stature. Maybe, depends how current they were trying to be.
Ahmed didn't debut until Survivor Series 95' and Vader at the 96' Rumble, so they probably wouldn't have been made until 97' or so.

Here are some others not yet mentioned who were around from either 94 or 95. Many of these could have been cool:
Kwang King Kong Bundy Beverly Brothers Heavenly Bodies
Savio Duke the Dumpster Henry Godwinn Waylon Mercy Mantaur (I mean, if we get Bastion Booger...) Dean Douglas Psycho Sid Well Dunn Skip/Body Donnas Jacob & Eli Blu

I'll guess another Bret Hart (perhaps a new mold), Owen Hart, Randy Savage, and how about Alundra Blayze.

If they started w/female figures, Sunny, Alundra, Bertha Faye, Bull Nakano are all good choices. Was anyone else around at that time?

The Hasbro line hadn't produced 'two-pack' tag teams since the Nasty Boys and Legion of Doom, so I think Jacques and Pierre (The Quebecers) may have been released as individual figures, similar to Bart and Billy Gunn (The Smoking Gunns) in Series 11 and (assuming) Mable and Mo (M.O.M) in Series 12. As there were 7 figures released in the previous two series, I'd go with:
The Quebecers Bret Hart (new mold, surely) The Undertaker (purple gloves re-paint?) Bob Backlund Owen Hart Bob "Spark Plug" Holly

I wonder if it would have been a lineup of 6 instead of 7 though, for Orange and whatever came next. Seemed like up until the green cards it was typically six figures per assortment with a few acceptions but I would render a guess that had something to do with guys leaving the company and being pulled before prototypes and ads were made. And I still think Diesel was probably slated for the green cards, and they scrambled with the Crush and Yoko repaints to build the lineup back up. Hence why they're not pictured on the back of the cards.
And yeah, I would also assume any tag teams would be releases as 2 separate cards. But I really did love the 2 packs and wish they would have kept with that formula.

Wasn't a new mould for Undertaker planned for the orange cards? My wishlist from late 93-early 94 would have been... Owen Hart (KotR). Bret Hart (new mould). Thurman "Sparky" Plugg. King Kong Bundy (should've already had a figure). Jerry The King Lawler. Macho Man Randy Savage (new mould assuming released pre-WCW).
I think The Quebecers would have had a good chance too. I'd have loved an Alundra Blayze but doubt they'd release a female without a counterpart to battle.

King Kong Bundy wasn't really back in the WWF until 95', so maybe he would have been made in 96'. Macho Man would have been cool too! But he was in WCW by December 94', so who knows if they would have pulled him or not if he had been planned or even showed up as a prototype. I always thought the Macho King mould would have been great with long colorful tights.

When Justoys did the Bend-ems they also tried stretch wrestlers (Bret and Lex only two released). Not sure when these official were released but I first saw them in a summer 1995 WWF merch catalog. The back of the cards had a live picture of Macho Man slated for the series so the toy companies definitely weren't with the times.

Hakushi/Jinsei Shinzaki would be interesting as he, like many Japanese Wrestlers, owns the legal rights to his own image.
Speaking of Joshi and female Wrestlers, I think it's safe to assume that we'll eventually see an Asuka (hopefully in different colors) figure hit the line alongside Nakamura.
