I always remembered watching AWA wrestling on ESPN as a kid and seeing "new" Remco figures shown before commercial breaks. As the years passed and I never read anything about them, I figured that my memory was playing tricks on me. However, thanks to youtube I just ran across a video featuring this figure. I have no idea who it is but it is certainly not one that was released at retail. Does anybody have a clue about this one?

Here is the Sheik's Army from the same episode. Possibly some slight variations from the released version.

Makes sense. I totally forgot about Blackenstein's run in the AWA during the summer of 1986.

No one from the AWA results from around this period really jumps out as possibly being this figure.
The biggest names that didn't end up with a figure were Kevin Kelly, Buck Zumhofe, Mongolian Stomper, Brad Rheingans, Bruiser Brody, and Jerry Blackwell.

Could it just be a different version of Stan Hansen? Looks like he's wearing a cowboy hat and the same fringe vest and chaps as that figure; only different colors.

Blackwell actually was released in the two pack with Stan Hansen. That two pack, along with the Carlos Colon/ Abdullah the Butcher two pack were my favorites.
